I think the answer will be "that is just the way it is", but does anyone know how to keep a silky robe closed while wearing it over the matching gown? Thanks for any help.

Hi Myra, I'm surprised no one has answered your question. Most silky robes have thin strip like ties on the inner seams. These are used to keep the robe closed, and the wider waist belt helps also.

The thin little inside ties (about bottom of rib cage) Essentuates the waist then the outer belt is more of prop. The ties give the wearer control over presentation. That’s my 0.02
