Hello there gals,
How do you put together an outfit?
Well, when I think about putting together an outfit, I guess I start with the one particular thing that I really want to wear (or at least, that would be suitable for doing whatever I'm doing) whether that be a certain pair of shoes, jeans, dress, blouse or whatever and build out from that.
Collectively, I'm certain that we have volumes of knowledge to share with one another on this very important subject & I probably have some specifics to share too, but first let's see if we can get some comments!!
Ladies if you would be so kind, please share with us your secrets and tips for putting together an outfit (ie, what with what, with what accessories, shoes, jewelry) How do you decide??
Thanks!
I struggle so much with this Amelia. So much. My best option for matching, is to ask others their thoughts. I do prefer outfits with multiple colors, as I feel like they go with so many other options. Thaks for putting this up!
Interesting question.
First off it depends on how much time I have to dress and when. In the morning I have an hour or so to dress but also must be able to take the dog for his walk. It is also the time of day I am on here so to be able to dress in some way enhances the experience. There are some days I will wear a nightie and panties/g-string, others a dress or skirt and blouse (always panties and bra with them). Due to time constraints I don't do make up or put on a wig and heels are out due to noise (I love the sound but trying not to wake up the wife). If I only have a couple hours at other times I'll do something similar. There are days my wife will ask if I'd like a Suzanne day, it happens every few weeks. When that happens I go full Suzanne - wig, make up, bra, panties, dress or skirt and blouse, shoes of some type (usually heels) and jewelry. I try to match whatever I'm wearing. I have a couple solid color skorts and skirt with which I wear a patterned blouse, with the skirts I have that are striped I wear a solid color blouse. I have a number of different necklaces and bracelets and I choose ones that will compliment my outfit (90% of my jewelry I made myself). I love wearing earrings, especially dangling ones, and having recently gotten my ears pierced I have fun wearing them. In my opinion there is nothing that feels better than the weight of dangling earrings swinging from my ear lobes. That being said 95% of the time I wear the studs that were used when I initially got my ears pierced. My wife sometmes gives me input on my outfits, however, she considers me to be her fashionista when it comes to picking out clothes and putting together outfits. I also do wear leggings or tights with tunic tops. All of my dressing is for my own enjoyment as I only dress at home. I do underdress in panties occasionally and have gone out a couple times wearing my ankle boots.
Hope this helps someone - have fun mixing and matching.
XOXO
Suzanne
I'm afraid my outfit more or less picks itself. As a secret crossdresser I can't keep a large collection of clothes, so the few items I do have are kept hidden in my wardrobe. Currently I alternate between two outfits; a peach jumper and black skirt combo, and a blue sheath dress.
I am of the opinion a picture is worth a hundred words..and I have received a few positive comments from my sisters here at CDHthis photo represents my first makeover and an introduction of the LBD for which is my favorite dress …. BTW my first attempt to attach a file to the forum Warmest regards, Leonara
Dressing as a girl is a labor of love. Whereas dressing as a male is the same daily drab routine.
So how does this girl start off deciding on an outfit? By asking myself where I will be going and what I will be doing, for starters. Then maybe who I will be seeing. How do I want to be viewed, maybe.
An important consideration is practicality, which is normally my first consideration, before personal preferences. For example, if I am going to be doing much walking, high heels are out. For some walking, maybe wedges or block heels are ok.
I love lots of bling, cleavage, heels, and mini-skirts, but I don't wear any of that when I am asked to speak at a gathering of fellow engineers. However, I do wear all of those things if I am going out for a rare night on the town.
Some say matching is out, anything goes. I still like to match. It looks nice.
Most of all, I always consider myself a work-in-progress, continually and always in need of improvement in some area of my dressing experience.
There are many pretty girls on CDH that I have learned much from over the years.
