I had a little time to myself tonight, so I decided to grab some mirror time and try applying my face and see how long it takes me. I started the stopwatch on my phone and got to work. Well, I got lucky tonight and EVERYTHING went my way (except for a stubborn false eyelash that wouldn't cooperate). When I was all done and the wig was pulled down to reveal Danni, I looked at the stopwatch. 1 hour and 10 minutes. Not sure if that is a PR for me, but it's darn good. It was so fast that I had a good amount of time to throw on a few dresses and take my look a little further before my wife got home. What an amazing feeling...just can't believe how such a simple thing can make me smile inside and out. Thanks for entertaining my self-centered post. May we all experience "perfect" makeup days more often than not!
XOXO

Hi Danni.
Nothing as cool as when all the elements of make up fall perfectly into place!
Go ahead and brag! It's a special moment. Enjoy!
Judy.
I consider it a challenge both to yourself and others here to step up their makup game. I, like Christine, default to the pros. If I want proper makeup I schedule an appointment and have somebody far more competent than me do the makeup.
I devoured all the How-To videos on YouTube. The most helpful for me was the basics of skincare. I found it best for my complexion NOT to over cleanse and use exfoliants sparingly. As we get older there is less skin to work with, and it takes time to restore collagen. I rarely go out with full foundation makeup anymore. However, I have found a vibrant lip and slightly smokey eye goes a long way. Also, I never use false eyelashes; they are too much trouble. Long story short; 30 minutes in a public 'ladies' restroom.
I wouldn't consider it bragging unless it had some kind of pompous nature or an "in your face" or "I'm better than you" vibe. Non of which is present in your post. If you won't talk up your accomplishments, who will? You are just sharing and that is wonderful. If you are happy with it, I am happy for you!
