Are there some simple makeup applications that a newbe can try? Maybe lipstick and eybe brows?
If you have a wife /SOGGF aka Significant Other Genetic Girl Friend that u are out to have her do your makeup the first time, and maybe ask her to teach you
Otherwise I would suggest you go to a SEPHORA STORE if u have one near u. I can highly recommend them and their services.
Most of their products are some what more expensive than the general drugstore products but the general quality and sizes of their products are 4 most part larger amount wise and better quality.
B4 July 1st this year Sephora would do free mini makeup makeover sessions provided u purchased atleast 50$.
Now only done on an appointment basis made atleast 48 hours prior with a 100$ cost for a 1hour makeup makeover. Plus cost of any makeup products purchased.
Recently I received an email invitation to join their beautiful you makeup classes
I'm thinking about attending their
Confidence in one's self : Bold Beauty for the Transgender Community (open to individuals & groups) classes.

I have learned so much for YouTube tutorials. If you go to YouTube and just search under "makeup for crossdressers", a number of vid choices come up for you to watch. Buy some of the items you will need such as brushes and makeup sponges along with actual makeup products and start practicing on yourself. It helps too if you have a nice stand-alone makeup mirror with built in lighting....that way you can comfortably sit in front of the mirror rather than bending over a bathroom vanity to lean towards a wall mounted mirror.
Don't be mad, sad or frustrated if/when your first attempts are less than acceptable to you. I always look at applying makeup as a fun experience to enjoy, no matter how it turns out. Like anything, the more you practice, the better you become.
Jamie,
MAC has a private room where you can get help with all your products. They’ll help you get the correct foundation shade, powder, brushes, etc Ulta also has consultants to help. But they will have you in the middle of the store. That sounds scarier then it really is. No one cares if a guy is getting makeup. When they ask you what look you want tell them you want an "everyday look". It will help to keep all the cost of the products to a minimum.
Angela
It looks like MAC is in Macy's? Only two in Colorado.
Would I wear a wig and bra to get makeup at ashop?
