New here, but I've been a closet CD for many years. MOH disapproves, so clothes &c are kept hidden, alas. This limits severely the choice of outfits available when I dress, also the opportunities to dress and take photos &c.
The old dial is topped by thinning hair and somewhat lined, so a wig & make-up are essential to take 25 years off my appearance. I still have a rower's physique, so dresses simply don't fit. Tops and skirts it must be and in disparate sizes.
Femme shoes are always problem for very large feet like mine and I can't manage very high heels, not that I need them, being 6' 2" for starters.
I once shaved my legs, but MOH was seriously put off, so having allowed my Neanderthal primeval forest to resume, I need to use thick opaques and/or two layers of tights to cover them. No big deal, really.

Maryesther welcome , sometimes we can't always be the way we would like to see ourselves but was important is what is felt inside. Sorry to here about your troubles at home but here you have company of many to make friends and ladies here to talk and share each other's experiences. Maryester....welcome to CDH. Yah...In guess you are frustrated over not being able to dress up. I would just shave you legs in the bathroom with door closed if s/o is going to fuss about it. Most males are opting for body shaving in this modern era. Anyway...glad to have you here....fell free to chat with me anytime.
