Hi steven,

You can walk alone to the shops and simply try on wedding dresses

Steven ,  I'm not sure about wedding dresses and how to go by wearing one but on the  other hand I very much would love to have the opportunity of wearing one  even for a moment. Best to you in your quest and happy to welcome you here at Cdh.

Hi Steven !

I think you should be allowed to try those wedding dresses on. Who is stopping you ?

Good afternoon.

I do not know much about dresses since they are not really my thing, but what I do know about wedding dresses is that they can be quite expensive. From the perspective of the staff, why waste time assisting those who are there just to play "dress up" when you could be making money off those who are guaranteed customers? Also, if you have multiple people putting on these expensive dresses, you never know what kind of damage could occur....or how well (or not) people have showered. These are some of the sacrifices that business owners have to make in order to not lose money.

One of my fav shows us say yes to dress! I got my wife hooked on it. Watching that show actually helped us connect more.

I would love to do a say yes to dress day for real.

Hi Steven,

An old "trick" of mine was to go to bridal hire stores and do the old "role reversal fancy dress party" routine

AKA "she can fit into my tux/dinner suit, but (quite rightly) wont let me near her bridal gown".

Ask if they have any ex hire dresses they dont use much anymore and you should be able to get one quite cheaply. At least in comparison with a new one!!.

It worked for me... About 40 years ago. These days I'm the "teary mother of the bride in the corner".

As others have said charity shops are worth a look too. They've seen it all and Halloween is fast approaching,,..

So go for it...

Happy (bridal) dressing

Caty
