  1. Hi all, or anyone.    I am new to dressing, and not sure why I do it But, I really enjoy it, want to do it more, and need help.  How do you buy items privately?  How do you hide them?  When can you dress?    Why Am I attracted to men while in dress ?    I love lingerie, especially panties and stockings. I enjoy nothing more than lace, miniskirts and heels.   But how?

HI  Ericca!    Welcome to CDH. Purchasing femme clothing.  You can go to ladies stores....salesgirls don't bat an eyelash!  They got lots of males in buying.  Or the internet, e-bay/amazon/crossdresser shops and TG shops offer anything you may need. As for hiding them....I assume you have a significant other (wife who doesn't approve)..........well....I am sure you can figure out something!  I am sure my ex was jealous of my prettier items....she was into baggy clothes and granny panties and did want me picking her clothes.....ah well...her loss my gain eh whot?     Lady Veronica Graunwolf.

Hi Errica

welcome to the site.

your comments are perfectly normal. As men I think most of us have barriers in our heads about being seen to have anything to do with anything feminine in public.

I am finding out that what Veronica said above is true, salesgirls don't really care that it is a man purchasing women's clothes, make up etc. What's the worst that can happen ? If she does ask you can say it is for your wife, or if you feel adventurous just admit it is for yourself. She will either laugh thinking you are joking or perhaps show an interest that you are genuine !

If you feel self conscious go somewhere where you will not be recognised. After reading another members story I recently went to a store in another Town and fell in love with a dress but wasn't sure of the size. Picked a size I thought would fit, put it over my arm then covered it with a couple of male items of clothing. Approached the changing cubicles and told the salesgirl I had 3 items, showing her the hangers. Don't know if she noticed the bottom one was a dress but didn't make any comment or sign that anything was amiss. It felt so good slipping the dress on but quickly realised that I am not as small as I thought LOL. Returned the items, picked the dress one size bigger and went to the checkout with other items. Again the salesgirl never commented but I was prepared to admit it was for myself, thinking she would think it was a joke !!

If you are really self conscious online shopping is the way to go but I really got a buzz "real life" shopping, and it is great to see the clothes up close, feel the fabric, quality, judge sizes, etc,  feels more exciting and a bit dangerous !

Go for it girl

Love

Bianca

Ericca...Hi again!  Just one further thing.....I have been a lot of so called Adult Sex stores and ladies shops. They seem to be staffed by young girls who are definitely into the Lgbt scene. My daughter is like wise and surprisingly thick skinned in these areas. She worked for a marketing firm and had to go to a large mall here, dressed as a Tampon and hand out samples! She was OK with it but I would have crawled under a rock. Anyway my friend.....stiff upper lip, damn the torpedos and full steam ahead!

Hi Erica!

I've been crossdressing more than 40 years and kept it secret until about year 2000,when my wife became aware. I buy most of my female clothes in stores catering to women or in the women's section of supermarkets and stores catering both sexes. I also by a lot of clothes second hand since you may find nearly new clothes at a very affordable price. Then asked whether it is intended as a gift, I have always explained that I buy got myself. Only at one occasion, have been denied trying things on in the dressing rooms, though I have been asked to use the male ones a few times when shopping in male mode.

Hi Ericca,  My wife and I shop a lot of thrift stores for my clothes. I put a pair of men's jeans in our cart. Under them are my women's clothes to try on. Time to go to the dressing room, I pick them all up and go in. My wife has also brought in my clothes with her when she tries something on. She leaves the clothes in the dressing room and I go in next.

Hi Ericca;

Great name, btw.

I used to be so embarrassed wandering through the women's intimate section in stores. But I agree with Bianca. That embarrassment is now a "buzz" when I explain to sales clerk it's for me. I always ask them if they feel comfortable helping me, and I'm no longer surprised at their nice answers. But for me personally, being honest with the clerk is learning to be honest with myself and others. It has taken me a while. But now that former embarrassment has morphed into both excitement (the buzz) and validation of my femininity.

Stay with these CDH girls, Ericca. They've been so loving and supportive of me and we are all here for you. The love and understanding is powerful medicine.

A hug for you,

Erica
