I have been thinking about transitioning for a long time! I thought crossdressing would be the best place to start! Can someone tell me the simplest way to start this process? Please and Thank You!
Hi Laura! Welcome to CDH! Feel free to explore our site and chat with us girls. There are a few of us who have transitioned and they can tell you a lot more than I can. I know the proceedures and depending upon what country you live in can be free or very expensive. By all means...cross-dress first. You are more than likely going to have to go to 2-3 doctors as well as a psychciatrist for a year before they will look at you for surgery. There are a few books on Amazon Kindle about the subject which are free. Cross-dressing would be your first step. If you have specific questions, my door is always open, contact me. Where are you with cross-dressing? Lingerie, make-up, dressing, wigs/shoes etc.

When I get a chance I go to the store and buy something. It is usually clothing. I am starting fresh and I want a wardrobe. I just don't want to do it and get out and not like it. I really want to do it and think its for me!

I've just begun my transition. It starts in your heart and in your mind and needs to be carefully considered as there are many things to cover. Like Lady V said there are quite a few on here who are transitioning or have transitioned. Also the laws of your state will dictate some of the mechanics of transition. I'm still discovering things, but am more than happy to answer questions (and ask them too) and help find connections,
