Got it done when I was 18 and didn’t need permission. Started with one hole and shortly after had 5. Have always worn gender neutral earrings tho.

Hi Candyrose, you'll look Fabulous!

such timing on your post...

I have just in the past hour e-mailed a local spa in regards to having it done, or not?

I live in a small community that doesn't have these types of services available in many locations and still has its share of close minded people. Undaunted, I felt ready and knew of a timing opportunity that was coming up. I found a few listed and the one I selected even said it was LBGQT friendly on their website. I went to their location (in drab) about 3 weeks ago to gauge that acceptance and obtain pricing. Although the receptionist seemed more nervous than I was making the request, it seemed ok, and I wanted it done. She fidgeted about, gave me the price, but told me I'd need to book ahead as only the owner herself did the piercing, that I could do. Over a week ago I went back in, spoke with the same girl telling her I wanted to have it done this week and left my card so that the owner could call me back when time allowed. I was excited, my gf knew of my intent and was going to be away this week so I thought it would be a little surprise when she came home. The week is over, no piercings.....or call back. I e-mailed that salon this afternoon to state my true disappointment and cancel my request.

Looking forward to still having it done...soon.

The owner of the salon has personally reached out to me via e-mail in an effort to correct things. I'm to contact her directly when I'm available to reschedule, yeah

Yes, pretty messy and hurt a lot until they were done healing.

Hi

I say go for it.  I had both mine done a couple of months ago.  The hardest part was waiting for the ears to heal over a five week period so I could get into sets of earrings that I wanted.  But now, I love it.  I say do it!  I don't know where you are planning on going but I went to a tattoo parlor to have mine done.

K

If you mean by 'actual' accident...sooy to hear and Ouch. If you mean you accidently fell into a bottle of tequila and it just sorta happened, thats different.

I had one ear pierced about 25 years ago at a local jeweler. A few years later I pierced my other ear myself with a sterilized pin and ice. Then I pierced each ear a second time. I wore 4 earrings for a while but let two of the holes heal in. I now wear all kinds of earrings all the time whether in boy or girl mode. It's lots of fun and I occasionally get nice comments from girls who like my earrings. I have never heard anything negative when in drab.
