Hi Ladies
I'm very pleased to be here on this forum and to feel comfortable to introduce the side of myself that's so far been hidden. At the age of 55, I've just in the last couple of years acknowledged that I have quite a strong feminine streak, and started to embrace and indulge her - so say hello to Fiona!
I never wanted to dress when I was younger, or ever felt at odds with my body, although since my early teens I have always had a thing for removing whatever body hair I could get away with. If anything, I had no feelings at all - with my son being at the lighter end of the autistic spectrum, you can imagine there's some of that in me, too. Then, a couple of years ago I just got the urge to find out what wearing a bra and panties would feel like, and acted upon it. Fiona has been growing in me and on me ever since.
The first cheap set I bought was very soon replaced by nice satin & lace underwear and breastforms to fill the bras properly. Then I started buying secondhand clothes online, and some hip & bum padding to help out there. Some shoes happened (of course - as they do!). More recently, jewellery, a couple of wigs, nail polish, lipsticks & liners and a perfume. I bet this all sounds very familiar!
In real life, I've been together with my fiancee for many years now and we live at her house. I'm not out to her, as I already know she would definitely not accept Fiona. But I'm lucky in that I still have my own house 20 miles away, where I work from my home office and stay over one night a week. So Fiona gets regular 'she' time there, at least that evening, and as much more as I dare during working days - video meetings when I'm wearing a skirt under my desk are great fun! The only person who's seen me as Fiona is my best friend, who comes to stay at mine from time to time, and I'm pleased to say he's completely cool with both expressions of me.
I'm not dressed every day by any means, I always have to go back into drab if I'm going 'home', but the desire to dress overcomes any inertia much more readily in the warmer months when my mood is generally higher anyway. As Fiona, I mainly stay in the house, venturing into the back garden when the neighbours are out or away. Being fortunate enough to own a convertible, last summer I even managed a couple of drives out, where I put the roof down (sans wig!) and parked up in a rural valley for a walk in a field wearing my favourite floaty dress. I'd very much like to experience that bliss again, and more in the coming years. As I develop my look I'm hoping to pluck up the courage to come out to my neighbours and go out on foot, maybe even into town for some shopping.
I hope to get the time to chat regularly on here, to learn and share experiences, and maybe even meet up with other girls in the Beds/Bucks/Herts area of south-east England, who knows? 🙂

Hello Fiona welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are. Having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or levels of closeted dressing or underdressing or public expression and or personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member profiles found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from differing levels of crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of self acceptance and expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or space were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are that you are not alone and this is a place where you can feel safe to express and share part of yourself as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, a man who dresses as a woman, if it makes you a better complete human being expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. For some it means remaining private for some telling a select few ultimately you have to do whats best for your own situation and you ultimately know best. I appreciate you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence in themselves. I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

I'm a mature crossdresser I've been dressing most of my life since i was about 8 or 9 years old when i tried my older sister's lingerie on, I'm still in the closet to my wife and family, I'm with you on that i don't think i can come out to my wife as she says she doesn't understand why some men want to dress up like a woman,
