If you do those things, then both of you will have an easier and quicker start to your crossdressing. There is a wealth of history and knowledge on CDH waiting to help you with your journey.
@harriette I plan to try.thelast 4 years were hard on me. When my gf left 5 months ago it hurt. But 3 weeks ago, all my emotions came out. I am the only one that can deal with them, he can't ( my male side) so I am left to pick up 43 years of pieces. I fought to come out and I will stay now. My new dress arrives today or tomorrow. I plan on a day this weekend to embrace a true day. I just wish I lived near a like spirit to just actually be with someone on that special day.

@aliceunderwire after o er 4 decades. It scares me. But after all this time and bottled emotions, it was time to see the light. I am hoping to either get good enough with makeup or have help, so maybe I can actually be in public as myself. This scares the heck out of me, that I actually want to go in public
@jaclynne Hi Jaclynne, You should be able to find an opportunity at your local cosmetics shop or drugstore for tips and a start on your makeup. It’ll help your confidence and provide instruction and a start.

@aliceunderwire I will have to try that. I live in a real rural part of my state. I live close to my late wife's family and my daughter. I have to try that in the big town 45 minutes away. I always wish I had a wife or gf to help me. But I need to explore this world again in different eyes. Or eyeshadow the case maybe

@jaclynne You’ll have many eyeshadow color choices to decide on. But you’ll love the attention. Be sure to pick up makeup cleaning wipes to remove the eyeshadow and lip stick. I forgot you were in S Africa but the businesses in the city should be able to help with instruction and you’ll love the pampering.
