Hi, Steph, CDH has been, and still is, a revelation to many of us! Like you, we kept our secret for years, over 50 in my case, and suffered the associated consequences 😥.

Since finding and joining this amazing community, I occassionally have to pinch myself, my life has changed so much. I'm one of the lucky ones, I told my wife a few years ago and she's been brilliant. Not so much that she'll go out with me dressed....yet..but I can pretty much dress as I wish at home, what a difference that makes!

You have already noticed how warm and friendly everyone is so I'll just say, don't be afraid to ask for help, we'll do our best.

Welcome to CDH from another UK girl. I'm in Norfolk 🙂

This is an exceptionally supportive place. I joined in July last year; that was the first time I'd ever told anyone about this part of me (even though I'm trans!) so I can understand exactly where you're coming from.

There's lots to explore here. Have fun looking around, and if you need help with anything don't be afraid to ask.

I’d never shared this side of me with anyone before joining CDH. It felt strange at first, but it was also so very refreshing.

You’re certainly not alone in this. Myself, and many of us here will totally understand what you mean by the inner peace you experience.

You’ve already worked out that this is a very supportive group, so make yourself at home and I look forward to getting to know you

I've been cross dressing for as long as I can remember, over 40 years! Every day I cannot wait to get home from work and slip into something more comfortable, although of course I do wear what I can safely get away with during the day, those few hours in the evenings really provide me with my inner peace.

I look forward to making new friends who feel the same as I do. I've already read with great interest some of the articles posted, from the responses to a comment I made on one article , you all seem so very supportive and understanding.

For me this ability to share my need to cross dress is a very new experience, I have never been able to find a partner who could accept me as I am. Finding that I might be able to openly discuss how the need to cross dress affects our lives without being judged is so refreshing. I can see already that many of us have had shared experiences, how reassuring this is.

I had the same hesitation about my cd routine,  I kept it secret for over 45 years! I always was afraid to reveal it to anyone,  for fear of being rejected or judged by those close to me, like family and friends.  But, on here, i am accepted and Welcome, and have no fear here.

So, take a look around , read the forum articles and stories by other ladies on here. You'll call CDH your second home.

Hi Steph,

Welcome to CDH from (yet) another UK member - in my case in the Cotswold area, so not too many miles from Birmingham. Your story is similar to so many others. I, too, did not share my crossdressing activities with anyone for so many years, but in the last year or so I have been able to be so much more open about it. That has brought a huge change and I am now out in the world crossdressed most days. I have not found anyone who is not totally accepting of me. I hope in time you will be able to enjoy the same.

This is a great place to be, as you have already started to discover. The more you explore, share, contribute and make friends the more you will feel at home and reap the benefits of this wonderful site. So get stuck in, share a bit more about yourself on your profile when you feel comfortable to do so, and have fun!
