Where in town can a man walk into a store that has womens clothing and have women accept Cd's allow us to try on womens clothing? So far i had enough courage to walk into the Superlingerie store in Phx and Carrie was very accepting and accomodating. hugs

Hi Abagail  !  Glad to hear shopping went well for you! I read somewhere in the business section of the internet that men are the most generous shoppers at the cash registers, in womens' wear these days!

Works for me!  Always have been like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddy Shack.  Gimme 6 or those, no make it 12, and 6 of those, no make it 2 dozen and 6 of these and six of those and these are nice...give me a dozen...oh what the heck....give everybody in the store a dozen!!!

Although I am not from the Phoenix area, I would like to share some recent shopping experiences. I have been secretly cross dressing for almost 40 years. I do not pass and only dress in the house. I shop dressed as a man. For years, I went to department stores and pretended to buy " presents" for my "wife". Often they didn't fit properly or just didn't look right. I was usually too embarrassed to return them. I sometimes went to Glamour Boutique in NJ and once detoured from another trip to go to Janet's Closet in Detroit. Being free to buy women's clothes was wonderful but infrequent. A few weeks ago, all that changed. I decided to go to women's clothing stores and say I'm buying it for me! First I went to a Torrid store. When I said I was shopping for myself, the saleswoman was very helpful. She even suggested that I might try on some of my selections. In another Torrid store a few weeks later, I again had a positive result. Although the saleswoman did not volunteer the fitting room, when I asked if I could try things on, she said sure. I have since gone into a Lane Bryant. This was a slightly bigger store with multiple female customers, so ididn't ask about the fitting room, but the saleswoman asked my size, and after I found a nice skirt, she helped milo ate a nice blouse to pair with it. I also when into a Dress Barn. They were a little less friendly, she said if I needed any to call her. But it was still not a bad experience.

The bottom line is no bells go off, no one yells or embarrasses you. They want your business. If you are discreet,, it works out fine. How I wish I knew years ago how easy it could be.

Hi Abagail,  Nice to hear of your shopping experiances. Since I was blessed with boobs needing support I have been shopping for almost a year now. First it was for bras. Now I shop at several stores and wear only womens clothing all day every day. Never have had any negative comments.

I agree with Andrea. When I am shopping, I just say "It's for me". Most times I am greeted by a friendly and helpful SA.

I'm around the Phoenix area as well. This isn't a place to shop for clothes but check out Senza Pelo Medspa if you're looking for a place for skincare and hair removal.
