Good afternoon,
I am an 18-year-old who lives in the Midwest and has recently found a desire to begin cross-dressing again. I had done it before when I was 13 when I tried on my sister's clothes out of curiosity and felt a feeling that I can’t describe.
I did it for a few more years until last year when I bought my clothes when I was home alone and felt such immense pleasure in seeing myself all dressed up that it will always remain with me. Unfortunately out of fear I threw those clothes away and haven’t dressed up since.
But upon finding this site I have decided to fully begin my journey and with the help of all of you amazing people I know it’ll be possible. If anyone would have any tips or would like to be a sort of guide to me that would be amazing and very much appreciated. But even something as simple as a hello would help me so much.
I have an alternate style and could be considered emo or goth so that would be my go-to girl clothes. I hope I can make myself look as beautiful as half of you ladies someday and I hope to meet all of you soon enough.

Hi, Madison, (like the new screen name 😊), I've included a link to our crossdressing "How to" section, that's a good place to look through initially. For more specific questions like where to buy stuff, applying makeup, etc. just ask by posting a topic, you'll get more replies that way.
Generally speaking, a couple of things to consider when buying clothes, shoes etc, 1, know your size! I recommend getting out the tape and measuring your waist, chest, hips, with and without a bra and any shaping (hip/bum pads).
2, also measure your feet, length and width, this is essential if you're buying shoes online as many manufacturers take a cavalier attitude to numbers!
3, Budget! Lots of us visit charity shops (thrift shops in the states). There are some really good bargains to be had and not just clothes, I've picked up some very nice jewellery for not a lot of money. Remember to take the measuring tape to quickly check the size unless you're bold enough to ask to try stuff on. There are also the big online retailers, they're always worth a look.

Third at 18 you already seem to be very mature and way ahead of where I was back then. so cudos !! I have 2 favorite goth girls First is Abby from NCIS OMG so damn cute.. second not sure if she is goth maybe more emo was Kenzi from a show on Scifi called Lost Girl. so hot 😉 .. my favorite heels are black platform stiletto combat boots lol thats pretty goth coupled with a black corset fishnets and a long black wig well. ya I get it . again welcome to the family. have a great day. @river yeah I love the black clothes and the sorta vibe I get when I wear goth stuff. I plan to fully crossdress as a goth sometime but I just need to find out when.
@saml4796 Hey Sam. Binge and purge is a common theme here. Most girls are agreed that this feeling really doesn't go away so the sooner you embrace your feminine side the better. You're a good deal younger than most of the girls here, but there's a wealth of advice in the forums and articles. You'll find the girls are so welcoming, friendly and supportive, so any questions you have, just pop up a post and be assured of sensible and helpful responses. Lovely to have you with us girl.

Being 18 now are you still living with your family and do any of them have an inkling of what you want to do? This situation will greatly affect what kind of dressing that you can do.
A few months ago, I am pretty sure that I saw a male-female goth couple on the sidewalk and I think that the male was wearing a knee-length pleated skirt. Is this typical or normal?
@harriette no none of them know about this. And as for the goth couple it honestly just depends on their style and what they like to wear at that point
