Hi, I am Kristin from Pennsylvania. It has taken me a while since joining to finally post an introduction, but I am quite nervous. I am in my 30s and have been dressing on and off since age 10. I am married with an unsuspecting wife and it is really taking a toll on me. I want to dress more and look pretty but get so nervous when I try to buy clothes. Hard to order online with the wife but I guess some day I will figure something out. I would like to start a friendship with someone as I need a lot of tips. Hope I didn't bother you all.
Warm Regards,
Kristin
Hi Kristen. I know what you mean. It's not too difficult buying clothes in stores if you keep in your mind that you're buying them as a gift for someone (ok it's for yourself but nobody knows that). What I find more nerve wrecking is buying makeup as men don't often buy makeup for women. I found a way around that by ordering from a store online (I use Boots Chemists) and collecting in store.

I was amazed. I went cloths shopping the first time today. The clerks clearly saw i was going into the fitting room with a dress, skirt, etc. Even in Arkansas, they didnt bat an eye. Dress, shorts and shirt for 26. Just saying. It was wonderful.
- In my 30's as well. Been dressing up off and on since I was super young as well. I've tried to shut it out and it seems when the desire finally took over I exploded and went a bit out of hand buying clothes ECT ECT. Never gotten into the make up or hair yet because I'm just a furry person. Id have to shave and shave again like 4 to 5 hours later. Maybe on day ill delve and see what it can do for me but I don't have the courage to yet. If you ever want to talk message me privately or public. I'm selling to tell you what I deal with and solutions I've found for myself. Thanks for saying what you did:)

Hi Kristin and welcome to CDH. You will find the girls here most helpful and resourceful when it comes to guiding a fellow sister on her path. I started dressing at about twelve, some 40 years ago and now go out as often as possible since five years. Feel free to contact me anytime for questions or just a girly chat.
Hi Kristen and welcome to CDH Sorry to take so long to welcome you but I have been dredging my memory back to when I first start to CD. Sweetie......all of us have been where you are now. AFRAID. Almost all people are afraid when change comes...we've been comfortable in our lives and to change that comfort zone is terrifying. My worst time is when I went to Vietnam. A fairly peaceful young boy, a medic because I didn't want to kill anybody.......2 seconds off the plane in Tan Son Nhut during a Motar attack, I killed 5 men!.....Now that is terrifying...nothing else since then has been worse. But fear not.....CDH has oodles of girls who have been there and we are here for you! Ask any question, one of us can answer.....I am here for you too and my door is always open.
