Hi, I'm Sarah.
Wow, I never thought I'd be introducing myself to a group of people as the person inside the person that everyone else sees. Thanks for being here, and I hope to learn and laugh with all of you.
Hi Sarah,
Welcome to CDH. I’m new too. Joined less than a month ago. I’ve been dressing for many years too.

Hi Sarah, nice to meet you. I'm looking forward to chatting with the girls here. Is all so new isn't it? I've been dressing for quite some time but never spoken to anyone about me. Good luck. Liz.
Welcome Sarah!
Hi Liz,
I'm in the same situation. Until I joined CDH yesterday, I'd never let anyone know about my dressing. It took me a bit of time to join, but I'm so glad I did. Everyone has made me feel so welcome.
And it has helped me to find my courage to explore further.
After I joined yesterday, and I was so warmly welcomed, I checked out CD friendly establishments near by, as listed here. Turns out that Torrid, about a mile from me, was listed. So, I got up, got in the car, and went there. I sat outside the store (in the outlet mall) for about ten minutes and then thought "You're too old to miss yet another opportunity," and I went in.
Only two employees in the store, and when one offered help, I fell back on the "just looking" statement. I wandered for a few minutes, then went back to her (a young woman) and thanked her for being cool with my looking around. I then told her that I'd read on the internet that they were accepting of people that "sometimes wore clothes from the other gender." She smiled so genuinely, and said that it was all good with them.
Wow, twice in a day that I owned my dressing. I said something about not even knowing my size, and suddenly both women were helping me size clothing, panties, bras, everything! I got to go shopping as Sarah, with no judgement, no hiding it! They helped me in the fitting room just like any other woman, commented on how the dresses fit, and told me to come back again. I'm still high from the experience
I'm going to put on some tights, panties, a bra with breast forms, and go back for some serious shopping. They said they'd help me start putting together an age-appropriate wardrobe, and some "mix and match" clothes.
Sarah is smiling inside.
