Hi, everyone,
I am a long-time crossdresser, located in Toronto, Canada. I've never actually gone out to a gathering or pride or anything like that dressed. I have my secret stash of clothes and makeup and wigs and falsies and I just enjoy dressing up every once in a while. I think I would like to go out and be passable but it's mostly for myself. I don't really have the physique at 6ft and over 200 lbs.
I have signed on to talk with others like me. I have a lot of positive and negative feelings about it.
This pandemic and staying in has given me more to time to dress, and too much time to shop online! It's getting so easy and the online stores are pretty good about sizing.

Hi Alex
I am in Saskatoon and have been dressing most of my life. I am married but my spouse does not support me so under dressing is my main mode.

Hi Alex, nice to welcome a fellow Canuck, and a local GTHA one at that! Hope you get settled in quick and look forward to chatting with you soon.
Hi Alex and welcome to CDH. I'm so glad you joined our happy little family. have a look around the site and where you feel comfortable, join in.
This is a good, safe place to talk about all your feelings about your dressing, the positive and the negative. All the girls here are very supportive and nonjudgmental.
Your outlook on your dressing is great. No matter where your journey takes you, if you go out or stay home, whether you're passable or not, all of that, should be for yourself. And choosing to not dress in front of your SO because she doesn't want to see you dressed is actually something you'd be doing for yourself as well.
You're always welcome to talk to me any time about anything anyway, but if you ever want to talk about your negative feelings I'm always willing to listen. If you want to just vent I'm your girl. Being bipolar there's not much I haven't heard or felt in one form or another. 🙂
Thanks, everyone!
Hi Alex, Teralynn here. Welcome to our merry band of crossdressing people. Love your profile picture Luv! There are many natural born women who wish they they had facial looks comparable to yours but I do understand the size thing might be a problem for you. You will always have to choose your feminine attire carefully. Interesting last name you chose! I noted that you have mixed feelings about your crossdressing. Most crossdressing people do and that can sometimes cause them problems! I have an old saying I like to use occasionally, “if you can name it then you can claim it.” Meaning if you know why you do something and don’t really believe it is a bad thing then you should be able to do it without any negative feelings of guilt or shame. When you get to know some of our fabulous members you will find that they have claimed crossdressing and presenting a feminine persona as part of who they are. My hope for you is that one day you will be able to claim whatever makes you happy! If I can ever be of service please feel free to contact me through this site and let me know how I can help. A post on my home profile page wall will get the fastest response! - Blessings
Welcome Alex!
Given your size and its similarities to mine I look forward to hearing your own experiences! I am not a Canadian yet, but hopefully that will be changing this Fall as we move to Kingston.
I'm on the other side of the continent, and close to the same height 5ft 10 tall, and would look more feminine if I could lose 10 more lbs. I haven't gone out dressed since I moved to building FULL of cameras. I've been 'caught' on my balcony 2 or 3 times, but I don't know if anyone realized that I was 'dressed up' or if they cared.
Working at home during this "femme-demic" has been been very freeing, but I have to be careful about being able to sign for my online orders, or the occasional video conference.
Welcome Alex!
Try out some hip enhancers. You'll be surprised at how they make even a big girl look like a girl.
