Hi everyone!
I've been crossdressing on and off for about 15 years. Like others on this site, I've purged numerous times and have come to regret it every time. I've started building up my wardrobe again, so we'll see how long it lasts.
I'm also bisexual and have, for the first time in my life, a loving and supportive boyfriend who encourages me to be myself and to dress up however I would like. He has been the one shining light in this dark tunnel. My ex-wife wasn't very supportive and we ended up getting divorced after I told her about my femme lifestyle.
I hope, with the support of this community and my boyfriend, I won't feel the need to purge again. It's expensive! And full of regret for getting rid of beautiful items!
Love to all!
Sonal
Welcome Sonal. You're going to love it here.
Hello Sonal and welcome. You are so lucky to have that supportive person in your life. There are many wonderful ladies on this site who will provide much additional insight and advice if needed. So glad you reached out. Hugs, Feliz
Hello and welcome to our site, yes, it is lots of money to throw out and start over again. here us girls are very under standing. with your Bf wanting you to dress up that will be a blessing.
Welcome to CDH, a large and welcoming family.
It's a pleasure to meet you here.
You are in a place where it is really difficult to feel alone and abandoned, you will be able to find all the "sisterhood" you need.
Here you can exchange good opinions and information and find support to move forward in your female adventure.
Here you can have fun participating in forums, polls and questionnaires.
Here no one is judged, but always welcomed with a warm hug.
I'm Greta, I'm an Italian 57 year old CD/TG person who is living with extreme happiness the choice to undergo hormone replacement therapy; my life has been complicated (legally separeted from ex wife) for too long by having to hide my gender identity... not that it's easier now, but at least I've happily taken possession of my way of being.
When I'm alone at home or at work or I know I don't have LGBTQ+phobic guests, I'm Greta and I live my femininity freely, but if I'm elsewhere in places where I know I'm surrounded by dull and ignorant people I still to be Greta but I'm dressed in unisex clothes but of course I'm wearing my women's underwear.
XOXO from Italy 🇮🇹

Welcome, Sonal...you're going to LOVE it here...everyone is so friendly and supportive, but then, looks like you got that "support thing" covered....I'm so happy to hear you found your "special" someone...!!! CDH is a wonderful site, take your time to navigate all it's features and get comfortable with all it has to offer...you'll be making new friends in no time....ENJOY....!!!
Hey Sonal
Don't purge! There's always the option of storage. Not necessarily cheap (if it's something you end up paying for rather than creating a hidden, but ultimately discoverable, stash) but still a less expensive option than repeatedly buying clothes that you love and then throwing them away.
Now you have a supportive boyfriend though, your purging days may be over 🙂
Go you!
Oh, and I almost forgot.
Welcome to CDH!
This is a very welcoming and supportive community, a great place to be yourself and to make friends. I hope that you'll love it here as much as I do.
Hugs

Hello Sonal welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are. Having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or levels of closeted dressing or underdressing or public expression and or personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from differing levels of crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of self acceptance and expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or space were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are that you are not alone and this is a place where you can feel safe to express and share part of yourself as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, a man who dresses as a woman, if it makes you a better complete human being expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. For some it means remaining private for some telling a select few ultimately you have to do whats best for your own situation and you ultimately know best. I appreciate you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence in themselves. I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!
Hugs April

Thanks, Ellie. I did put all my stuff in storage for a while but then decided to get rid of them because of the cost (yes), but also because I thought I'd never need them again (yeah, right!). That was stupid of me because I should have known that I would never be able to get rid of the urge to present myself en femme and feel sexy. I know better now. So here I am, starting all over again, spending the money and the time to build up a collection of beautiful items. 🙂 Long may it last!
Hi Sonal, welcome! I'm a DMV area resident and attend events in the NoVa area recently. If you'd like to get out and meet some local girls, let me know and I'll send you some of the upcoming event info! 🙂
Hi Sonai!
There are two meetup groups in the area:
The DC Regional Trans Ladies' Community & Events
D.C. Area Transgender Ladies Socials and Events (DCATS)
The first is the larger of the two, and the second is more NoVa centric.
There is a meetup on 12/2 of the first group at the Bethesdan Hotel in Bethesda MD. Check the groups out at meetup.com. You have to sign up for a free account, then search for the groups.
Message me if you have questions!
Leah
