Hello! I have been struggling with gender fluidity for a number of years, and after doing a lot of work with a counselor I am finally ready to take my need to be feminine to the next level.
My goal is to start going out as Mia next summer. Until then, I have so much to learn both about who that side of me is as well as all the things I will need to make her a reality.
I stumbled across this community as I was doing some research and am so happy that there are so many others I can turn to as I embark on this journey.
I actually came out to my close friends this week, so I am so excited to finally get to be myself in every way.
I look forward to meeting all of you!

I have come to terms with who I am and indeed embraced it and I now am loving being the girl I am. I am so much happier and content…as I am sure you are and will increasingly be. Good luck with your journey become more feminine. This community of girls are very helpful and encouraging and fun, so I hope you enjoy it and get as much out of it as I have. It's lovely to have you here! This is a genuinely warm and supportive community.
Although I've never had a counsellor I'm in a pretty similar position to you; I'm trans, I've hidden that from most of my life and now I'm finally opening up to others about my true self and beginning to actively going out and about in the real world as Ellie.
Mia, I have to say ... it's totally liberating! I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without the love and support of dear friends here on CDH.
I hope to see you around in the Forums, or one one of my occasional forays into the Chat Room 🙂
