Hi I'm Sally -I'm new here but not new to dressing - Have done it since I was a little lad and had no idea what I was doing, and then on and off for my life - I'm 65 now, retired and desperate to dress. I have been buying loads of clothes from vinted I think I am addicted. Finally, i have a good selection of dresses, skirts, underwear, gym wear etc and just love wearing them all when I can.
I live in Wrexham and am married - Wife is not to keen on me dressing so it tends to get done when she is out
Anyway, enjoying the journey for now

@ellyd22 Realising that I could order something and have it delivered to a local garage/pick up point has been a game changer. I do still worry that they will deliver it to my door and I have some explaining to do though haha

There are not that many Welsh folk on here. I'm a little younger than you are at 57. My wife if supportive and I can be Cerys as much as I like. There are rules, and I do have to look for signs that she would rather me be in male mode, but generally, I'm free do be Cerys.
I have far too many clothes, so I think I'll be on Vinted selling some. Mainly skirts as I have around 200!!!!!!! This is an expensive hobby! 🙂

I tried putting your Welsh phrases into Google Translate and was pleasantly blown away to see it understands Welsh 😀 .
BTW - I am intrigued to know which super posh Cotswold town you visited ... who knows, I might have bumped into you!

@fembecky Many, many years of charity shopping. I'm slightly addicted to buying skirts. I've cut back a lot. I'm trying to control my addiction, but it's not easy 🙂 I am a lot more selective these days. I'm about to start another cull. Some have to go. This will be the fourth time I've had a cull. This time it will be on Vinted rather than giving them to charity shops. My work contract runs out next month and times will be a bit harder.
The town was Burford. Very pretty, but not much going on.

Burford - not many miles up the road from me. Pass it very often in my travels but don't go into it too often; looks really pretty when viewed from the top end but very busy and congested high street and parking sometimes difficult. Hope you enjoyed your visit there though. There are some good cafes, pubs and hotels; the walled gardens at the back of a couple of the hotels are beautifully peaceful and we have sometimes dropped in there for a snack lunch on a nice day.

@sallybchester . Hello Sally!. I am in a very similar situation as you. It's frustrating. But you dress when you can. I'm from the USA, Kentucky to be exact. I'm 71. We're raising 2 grandkids. This makes things a little more difficult but I manage. Great texting with you Sally. Jennifer

You’ll find that your background is quite common here. Lots of us have wives that aren’t too keen on this lifestyle, or just don’t know about it.
We all love to shop for femme gear, and so quite often end up with more clothes than storage space!

Hi Sally, welcome to CDH from yet another UK girl - in my case down in the Cotswolds.
I won't repeat what others have said, their welcomes spell it all out beautifully. What I would say is that I joined about 4 years ago but was fairly dormant on the site until about 18 months ago; it was then that I really started exploring, interacting and contributing on the site. That really changed things for me, so I would encourage you to get stuck in right away and enjoy this place. Don't languish in the background like I did.

Hey Sally, that sounds like pretty much the archetypal crossdresser profile. The need to dress does seem to increase with age. Welcome to CDH. Plenty of the girls here will be in your exact situation. Including me. Whilst we can't create opportunities for you to dress we can offer friendship, support and advice. Oh, and loads of fun. I'm a mature crossdresser too, I'm a bit older than you I'm 71 I've been dressing most of my life since i was about 8 or 9 years old when i tried my older sister's lingerie on I'm still in the closet to my wife and family,

Growing up i used to think the same, I thought i was the only one who liked to wear a bra and knickers instead of men's underwear, and putting on my sister's dresses was great, then the shame set in and i used to hate myself and i questioned my behaviour, but then i found that i wasn't alone there were loads of other people who liked doing the same, I just wish i had the courage to come out to my wife,

@rozalyne I have been through that cycle of obsessive dressing and will buy loads of things and then the guilt hits and I hate myself and ditch all the clothes. I'm more accepting of myself these days but still cycle up and down to a degree. At the moment, even in my most alpha non acceptance of myself i just cant get rid of my heels and tights :0)
I too wish i could be open and honest with my wife, perhaps one day...
