Hi Everyone, Erica here from Brantford, Ontario. I've been a MTF Crossdresser for many years. Sadly, most of that time was spent in the closet. After the end of a very restrictive marriage, I met someone that not only supports my crossdressing but encourages it. My new wife, and her adult daughter that lives with us, are comfortable with me being dressed around the house all the time. We even go shopping together, and more than once, I've found them borrowing my clothes! They even supported me in my disclosure to my own adult children. I've got to say it is incredible to have such support. I spent many years hiding my femme self from everyone, though my ex-wife knew, she had forbade me from telling anyone for fear it would look bad on her. Why I stayed with her so long (13+ years), well, you know what they say about rose-colured glasses - you can't differentiate the red flags!
I'm hoping this site will enhance my learning journey to being a better crossdresser.

Your story of your former marriage to an unsupporting wife is a sadly all too familiar one for quite a few of us. I'm glad that your current situation gives you the freedom to express your inner woman safely.

Hey Erica, welcome to CDH. You're going to love it here! The girls are so so friendly, supportive and welcoming, and it's a really safe space. Read the forums and articles, have a good look around, ask questions.
Whilst we are all on the same journey we all have different speeds and routes. Encouragement from your SO is pretty much the holy grail here, so you're a lot further ahead than a lot of us. Personally I am still completely closetted 😢.

I was passing through US immigration, once, and I was asked where I was going. I said Las Vegas. He then asked me which one. I should have replied, "The same one that all of these other travelers are going to, since it is the only one with an international airport", but I didn't. I just started at him saying nothing. Eventually, he said, "I'm just messing with you.” He must have been bored or something. There are something like either 7 or 11 places just in the US alone named Las Vegas (I forget which) and about 60 world-wide. However, it is a question that travelers might be ready for when going through immigration, next time. 🤔
Coincidentally, there is a New York near the battlelines in eastern Ukraine, and about 15 places named Toronto, with one in our antipode country, Australia. It is a strange world, Staci.
