my name is Jojo. My soon legal name will be Josephine Angelic Rosellion Johnson. Nice to meet you. Ima Baby-trans. I don't mean that with any disrespect to others or myself. I just truly mean I'm new to hormones, as I am soon. To be getting my 1st set of meds after all the cross dressing. I'm truly happy to be able to start being my self, in all compasities, I'm brimming with joy... but I digress, does any one know of any stores that will help me bloom into the flower I was meant to be? I need sizing for my intimates and clothing's and shoes...  and classes on makeup as I'm not too good with my own make up. Also would like a feminine hair cut as I been told some shops won't cut my hair as I look too manly. Even if I'm transitioning. So I'm desperately in Need of help with these things and to find a mentor as well. Also please note I'm happy to gain such knowledge from yall. Thanks.

Hi, Jojo, welcome to CDH, the best crossdresser community there is.

There are some who are new to the joy of crossdressing and there are those sisters who have transitioned. And all of us in between. So, any help you need, pop a question in the forums and we'll offer what help we can.

Enjoy exploring!

Allie x

Hi JoJo, Welcome to CDH. If you do some browsing in the forums. I think that you will find the answers to all of your questions. As to good shop for your hair. I would think most any salon will cut men and women's hair. If you make an appointment, I would hardly believe they would refuse you.

@jojojohnson90 Macy's stores are generally very accepting of people like us so they may be able to help you with your sizing.  I have had pretty good results shopping online and using the sizing charts.  It's not foolproof but purchasing from a store with a good return policy can be work well.  There is a sub on Reddit called "a bra that fits" which can help you figure out bra sizes.  For makeup, MAC, Sephora and Ulta stores are generally trans friendly and you can book makeovers and lessons.  The Makeup Addiction sub on reddit is also a great source of information.  Finally, there is a website called Strands for Trans that provides a geographic list of trans friendly salons where you can get your hair cut and styled.

Good luck with it all sister!  It's a lot to learn and takes time but it is so worth it!  Looking a your picture, HRT will take you to an amazing place.  You're really pretty now girl!

Welcome JoJo,

you will find becoming very welcome here.  I’ve made friends in a short time and confidence!  Find a normal place that has good reviews.   Find a sales associate and ask for help.  You could go into any store and not have a problem.  Remember this is the new you!  Go out and enjoy it all!

Welcome Jo Jo,

You are in a lovely place that can offer so much in your journey. There are probably more questions that answers at your stage but there are plenty of girls here that will help you.

If you look at the top of the screen you will see a tab for groups, pres that and press 'All groups' scroll down and you will see Kentucky girls which is of your area.

As far as hair styling and clothes there usually isn't any issue as many girls find out although it varies as to locations and local attitudes. Searching the web for your area may throw up some friendly places.

I hope you enjoy your time here and become part of this vibrant community as you move forward in life.

Hi Jojo,

Welcome to this friendly, accepting community! I haven't gone myself, but I know some of the girls here have had success getting fitted for intimates at Torrid. As for salons, you can get some good information right from Google maps, including reviews. Then you can give them a call, and ask if they work with trans girls.

Take some time to explore this site it has a lot to offer!

Welcome again,

Heart Lara xo

Hi Jojo,

Welcome to CDH.  Congratulations on your approval to start on hormones.  You’ll find many you tube videos to enjoy on fashions and make up.  You might try your local technical high school as they may have a cosmetology program for a hairstyle to match your style.
