I have been fully dressing for almost 30 years. I have been married for 47 years to a wonderful woman, who has excepted my feminine alter ego. In the beginning she 'tolerated' it, but gradually realized I am the same man she married, whether I am wearing male or female clothes.

I, too, have been married for 48 years, started crossdressing in my mid-teens but with sometimes very lengthy periods of purging and denial.
Not any more! I finally managed to accept and love my feminine side late last year and then, almost six months ago, found this amazing community of like-minded others. This was nothing short of a revelation to me after hiding my secret for over 50 years, to discover not just that there are others just like me but so many! Something in the region of 46,000 members globally!
The caring support and encouragement you'll find here can and does change lives, it's changed mine beyond anything I could have imagined.
Spend some time reading through the forums and profiles and you'll see what I mean.
Any questions you have, just drop a post and you'll have lots of replies.

I like to refer to myself as a Transvestite, rather than a crossdresser.
Meanings of words migrate over time, for various reasons. Nowadays, transvestite has mostly been replaced with a more broad term - crossdresser. Sexual desire doesn't have to be related to individuals using either term.
Obviously, Crossdresser Heaven has settled on using crossdressing. Once you meet more members here, you will understand more of the different styles or kinds of dressing that we do. Everything from only underdressing, to complete transition, or recognising and managing any body dysphoria.

My wife and I have been together for 37 years now and even though I only started cross dressing last year, she has accepted that I am still me and that I can balance both feminine and masculine traits; I can be a woman when I want but a decent man, especially when it is needed. She recently suggested we go out again but it is me that s holding back this time and the reason for that I think I will save for a thread on its own shortly as it is quite important.
