Hello everyone,
I'm Stefanie, 43, living in Virginia. I am a straight male 90% of the time, but really enjoy dressing up when I can and becoming Stefanie.
My wife actually found this forum and told me I should check it out. 😍 She's been really great about me finally talking to her about my crossdressing. She kind of knew about it but it was only discussed once like 15 years ago and I kept it from her still because she seemed confused and unsure about it, which I understood.
However, about a month ago we sat down and talked in depth and I revealed myself fully dressed and she's been super supportive, which has made a huge difference and brought us closer together. I feel REALLY fortunate to have her in my life and I'm buzzing with excitement about the future.
I keep my dressing private from everyone else and have never gone out of the house dressed. Not sure I will either... But I'm seriously thinking about going up to Maryland to get a makeover done by Elizabeth Taylor. Just found out about her the other day and that looks like an absolute DREAM. I need a thorough training on my makeup... It's a hot mess right now.
I'd post a picture of me dressed from the other day, but I haven't become a paid member yet. Still on the fence about that.

Since your wife is so supportive, perhaps she'd like to consider joining? As a 'Significant Other' (SO) she would qualify for a free membership. I've tagged @bellaz76 in here just in case ... she's in charge of SOs on the site.
Also, you don't have to have a paid membership to upload photos 🙂 The free 'Lady' membership level allows you to have a maximum of five photos in your public gallery (though you can't exceed that, and you can only upload a maximum of three photos on any one day).
There's lots to explore here. Have fun looking around, and if you need help with anything just shout.

Huge congratulations on your choice of wife, you are really fortunate to have found her. You may be grateful to her now, for pointing you towards us but just wait until you've been here a little while, you'll really be thankful 😊.
This is a safe place to share with like-minded sisters, all of whom are understanding and supportive.
We're a diverse lot, from those just beginning to enjoy expressing their feminine sides, to some who have fully transitioned, and all stages in between. So, there's a wealth of knowledge and experience here, take some time to look around and just ask if you need anything or have any questions.
Your wife may or may not know but we have a section just for wives and SO's. It's run by Laura, the wife of a member and it's for partners only, even male staff don't go there so it gives our partners a forum to talk to others in the same situation. I'll copy Laura in on this reply.

@stefaniee hi Stephanie. You are definitely at the right place. I can’t believe how fortunate you are to have a wife that actually found this site for you. I was reading your profile, and your words struck me as to how a lot of us start out in the same place. We hear about CDH and join with the idea that we’ll be here for a little while just to get some advice and maybe try to help ourselves look a little better. Then you see all the pretty girls here and think to yourself that you’ll never post a public photo because you’ll never be that confident in your looks.
Well, I went through the exact same feelings and I’ve been here for over 2 and a half years now. I never expected to go out either, or make friends with anyone, but all that and more has happily happened to me, and I’m so certain it will happen to you. You’ll end up spending so much time here that your wife will wonder what she’s to do. The answer is that there are spouses here too where she can participate and I’ve been told that it helps them a lot to do that.
So, sit back enjoy yourself, you’ll love it here.

How wonderful that you have made such amazing progress recently. And now you've joined the best crossdressers community there is. I've had a couple of makeovers and for me they were life changing. So many girls here will tell you the same thing. Go for it girl. I believe you can post a few pics in your public photos without becoming a paid member. Would be great to see you. Lovely to have you with us anyway.

Welcome Stefanie! You'll blossom; we all do; some quicker (myself 🤣 ), some more slowly. But you'll be fine, especially with your SO in it with you. I might suggest documenting your journey with a photo or two whenever you make the effort to experience being "dolled up". And don't be afraid to go out-most of us discover that once we do, the demons we envisioned being out there don't exist (in simpler terms, nobody cares how you present; just smile and be confident! ❤️ ) Oh, and speaking of pictures, non-paid members still get 5 free public photo posts...
