Hello. My name is Vanessa. I've been a closeted CD for years, but only recently have I been doing it regularly. I live in a pretty conservative small town so I don't easily have access to other girls like me, so I wanted to reach out and see if I can make a few friends.
I honestly consider myself both a CD and transgender because when I become Vanessa, I feel like a whole new person who's entirely a woman.
Please don't be afraid to say hi or ask me any questions. I'll do the same and I promise to be as active on here as I can.

Hi Vanessa welcome to CDH. It is great to have you here and I think you will love it. The ladies are so great here and friendly. You will meet several friends maybe even some that are in your area. It sounds like you are in a place many of us can relate to. So of us are there now and others have been there. I feel the same way as you, I am a crossdresser but when I am fully dressed I feel like a woman and think of myself as a woman so I am transgender. In my eyes I think there is a range of Transgender from the occasional crossdresser to the fully transitioned Transgender. I feel I am someplace at that point of crossdresser transitioning into being a woman but do to life situations can only go so far. Love to chat sometime say hello anytime.

I am really learning to treasure my own journey, and recognizing how it has made me into the person I am. I wouldn’t trade places with anybody.
That said, your story about your ultra-supportive (and ultra-talented, if your profile photo is any indication) makes me feel downright envious! You look adorable, honey!
Categories can be helpful, for sure. I don’t think I would be where I am if somebody out there hadn’t come up with designations like “gender fluid” or “gender queer.” But human uniqueness blows all our categories - even the well-conceived ones - right out of the water.
