I am a new member and am excited to make friends.  My story....I began crossdressing as a teenager and started hiding some makeup and bras that I would purchase at our local KMART.  My first girlfriend through college did not know.  My second girlfriend and future wife helped me dress up for Halloween one year and the cat was out of the bag.  As we moved in together I started wearing her clothes on a more regular basis.  Mostly when she was not around.  I learned quickly how to put clothes and makeup back where they belonged without being caught although it did happen quite often.  We were relatively the same size, a 36 B, and size 10.  She would occasionally go and buy me heels and makeup but not really because she wanted to.  I went and bought breast forms which I still have from 20 years ago (Totally need a new pair) I never got a gift it was always me begging her to do it and her giving in.  Two kids later and the dressing waned.  After a divorce I thought I would really dive into it but I met an amazing woman and we ended up getting married.  When I opened up to her that I was a CD, she seemed curious and receptive.  She took me shopping and it was a day I wont forget.  Bras, dresses, a full line of makeup.  I thought i hit the CD jackpot.  As I started dressing in front of her she became less and less receptive to it as she wants me to be masculine me for her.  She tolerates it now and I have a decent collection of bras, underwear, shoes, jewelry, makeup and wigs but it is never enough right?  I dress often alone now and I just do not prefer that as much because it feels as though I am being sneaky.  I do know that my next step is a makeover and going out but I can not get past the fear of it alone.  Hopefully that will change through my participation here.

Hi Stacie

Welcome to CDH, and thank you for posting such a full introduction 🙂

This is a very warm and friendly community and you'll find nothing but support here. When I joined just over a year ago I thought that going out into the real world dressed was a never-to-be-achieved pipe dream; last week I did it for the first time, and posted some pictures in my public gallery to prove it!

When it came to it, all of my fears evaporated. I virtually sprinted outside (or at least moved as quickly as the heels would allow).

There's lots to explore on the site. Have fun looking around, and if you need help with anything just shout.

Hey, Stacie, thanks for your detailed and interesting introduction.

I can not get past the fear of it alone.  Hopefully that will change through my participation here.

Oh yes, and how! I've lost count of the times I've said this community can change lives and that's not just because I have the memory of a....er...thing with a rubbish memory.

Your participation in this amazing community will help you to change yours as much as you wish. Ellie has told you of her experience, I'll tell you mine.

I've been crossdressing intermittently for over 50 years, in secret for most of that time but, now with the acceptance and support of my wife. Only at home, apart from a couple of late night and very quick outings. But, with the support and encouragement of my friends here, I'm booked for two days, pretty much entirely en femme, including a makeup and go prior to an evening out! I'm also looking at dates for a full makeover such as Ellie and Chrissie have had.

Being an active member here has given me more confidence and contentment than I ever hoped to achieve. It can do the same for you.

So, welcome to the best crossdresser place anywhere and, if you need any help or have questions, just shout out and we'll do our best.

@staciebobacie Great intro..  My wife knows and seems ok with it. but just gives me the wrong vibes about it so I still dress alone. Im afraid that she may tolerate it but not really embrace it . and I understand what you say , even though she knows it still feels like sneaking around even though its not. We so torture ourselves. Since joining CDH My confidence has grown significantly but still have a ways to go. Welcome to the family.  Cheers RC

@staciebobacie Welcome to CDH, Stacie!

After revealing to my wife that I wanted to dress differently, she was concerned and looking for little things, but after a while and without too much embarrassment in public, she seems to not focus on my dressing so much. Sort of the "it's only clothes" idea. I am sure that not being dressed blatantly en femme in public helps with that, even though all of what I now wear are women's clothes.

Have a close look at what you buy going forward. Maybe you can find something that works for you, too.

Hey Stacie. Wow, great intro. You've had a bit of a roller coaster CD life haven't you? And now you're home! Welcome to the best CD community on the net where you'll find support and friendship in abundance. Quite a few of the girls here have had makeovers recently, particularly here in the UK. Have a look in the forums and photos for their stories (including mine). It's not cheap but the two I've had have been life changing. If you've got any questions about makeovers or going out en femme pop up a post and you will be showered with help. Welcome to CDH.

Hugs, Chrissie xx.

@chrisfp99 I took a peak at your pics from your makeover.  SOOOOO jealous.  You look absolutely stunning.  I am very happy for you that you were able to experience that and how good you looked!

@staciebobacie Thank you Stacie. They were unbelievable experiences. I have almost no opportunity to indulge my feminine side so I reckon I deserved a bit of pampering xx.
