Becoming the "Prefect" lady is subjective honey. Everyone has their own perspective on this. The best advice anyone can really give in that regards is to just be the best at who you believe you are.
Aside from that find some girl friends that are accepting (It's always more fun to go shopping with friends.) and some salons that are Cd/trans friendly (Most are). You may be surprised at how willing they are to help you out with finding your look.
