Hey there, I'm Kyra, or at least that feminine part of me that needed expressed and given a name. Kyra has been a name in my head for a long time, that I've just come to always associate with my feminine side. Almost as though she is another person/prrsonality altogether, which in a way she is.
Crossdressing is something that has always excited me as well as something that I've felt needed to be locked away and never talked about. Though surprisingly it came up in random conversation with my wife. I had made some small comment about it at some point, and she had remembered. Its something that she is good with (certain lines were drawn, which was fine as we both had the same opinion about those lines), we discussed exploring it further and that she would help how she could.
Now to preface this a bit, I'm comfortable in my masculinity and I'm heterosexual. I do really enjoy expressing my feminine side during personal time with the wife or things I can hide under my clothes discreetly. At first I thought this was probably abnormal in the crossdressing community, but discovered I'm not alone in either case.
The barrier I've run into, is I have a really hard time expressing what I want (feminine things; like clothes and such), my wife also is more of a Tomboy and cant help me much there either as she's not very "girly" as she puts it. Though my feminine self, Kyra, is. So I'm truly hoping to discover and learn more about crossdressing and how to voice and choose what I want cause i have no clue where to start really.
Makeup is something I'm interested in trying as well, but that falls into that "girly" category for my wife. So it's a new territory for both of us.
Picking out clothes is difficult and havent had success there. I'm 6'4" 220lbs, fairly lean and rectangle shaped, not a feminine build. So that's proven to be as much of a problem as not knowing what to pick out to begin with.
This is also something that I dont share or talk about with anyone but my wife, I keep it pretty secretive. I would prefer no one i know finding out.
That's not to say I dont want to crossdress in public, that's an eventual goal. Just a few towns and a state like over, so I dont run into some I know. The idea of that happening terrifies me.
Anyways, I think that gets out most of what I have in my mind right now, sorry it was a bit of a ramble. Mostly to sum up, I need direction and help from basically the beginning.
Thanks, I look forward to getting to know and talk with whomever, excited to keep working towards this.

Hi Kyra, that is a cute name! I've recently joined CDH and say welcome to a fellow newbie! Although I'm not new to CD. I've been dressing off and on (mostly off, like you) for , maybe 60 years? Anyway, I just came out to my wife in July, the month before our 40th anniversary. She has been as understanding as she can be, but has a lot of anger at me spending energy and time with this and not her - fair point for sure. It's good that you were able to reach agreement on boundaries and that she is supportive.
Msg me anytime and we can compare notes, vent, celebrate! I think you will fit in here and be happy to learn and share.

Hi Kyra, Welcome to CDH and the sisterhood. If you want t chat about anything or just girly stuff, please reach out. Hugs, Brianna ❤️
Hello Kyra and welcome to the sisterhood. You will find most all CD's are supportive of each other because we all share the knowledge of how difficult it is to express our feminine selves.
I see you live in Utah. Thrift stores are great inexpensive places to pick up clothes and figure out what works for you or not. When you do find your preferred sizes and styles then you can buy at more upscale places online or if so bold then in retail stores. With your height you may find skirts and blouses work easier than dresses but you will learn what works. Different brands will fit differently even being the same stated size.
As far as learning makeup goes, youtube is your friend. Search for key words and view as many as you can even making notes if needed. Makeup is one of the most difficult girly things to learn so you will need lots of practice. Order online or buy inexpensive drugstore makeup while learning. If later you become so bold then you can go to Ulta or Mac for professional makeup help.
Heels. Many CD's have large feet like I do so forget looking in retail stores because they usually don't carry womens sizes larger than a 11. Order your heels online. Do a search on Amazon or ebay and you will find at least some samplings. I usually buy Pleaser brand heels for my big dogs.
This is just a few things I've learned over the years. Other girls here are more knowledgeable and can give you advice and sites to check out too. Good luck on your exciting journey and be happy that at least your wife isn't calling lawyers. She may turn out to be very helpful. All of us wish we had a supporting SO.
Oh the wonders of online shopping! Its like it was made for girls like us! 👍 i love browsing online and get so many great bargains too xx
Welcome to the group Kyra! 🌸
Kyra is a pretty name. Welcome to CDH. I'm a work in progress myself. All us girls can do is keep at it and all that practice is fun.
