Hello Mikaela welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are. Having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or level of public expression and or personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from differing levels of crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of self acceptance and expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or space were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are that you are not alone and this is a place where you can feel safe to express and share part of yourself as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or a complete human being expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

Well ... the first thing to reassure you of is that you've hit paydirt by joining CDH! This is a GREAT place to make friends; I've already made some very special ones despite only having joined seven weeks ago. I've also come a VERY long way since then, largely due to the support and gentle encouragement that I've received from this wonderful community. They've kept me on the straight and narrow, they've built my confidence, and they've pushed me forward when I needed pushing.

You'll find that there's already a huge amount to explore here. Many of the questions that you have will almost certainly have been asked by someone else in one of the forums at some point, so it's worth taking a little time to explore those. But don't let that stop you diving straight in and creating your own forum posts. It certainly didn't stop me when I joined!

Above all, Mikaela, relax, enjoy yourself, and have fun.

Hi Mikaela, and welcome.  Though I live in Arizona I am currently working on a large project in SD, not terribly far from you.  My colleague and friend, who is also involved in the project, is in addition a CDH member, who travels to Sioux Fall fairly often.  We are just now exploring 'CD friendly' places that might be available in Sioux Falls for some 'outings'.  If we come across something we will let you know.  Being seniors, we love to work with girls who are just beginning their journey to give them the confidence to explore their feminine side without fear or shame.  I think you will find that once you venture out you will discover that even if people notice they rarely say anything or even care.  Let's stay in touch.  I always have my professional makeup case with me and love to do makeovers for new girls.  Hugs, Paulette
