I consider myself bi, but in relationships I've learned to de-emphasize the categories I may use, tune in to how I'm feeling toward anyone, and then with sensitivity, grace, and maybe timing, share my feelings and invite them to share theirs. In other words, be authentic to myself and the other person. People understand if we speak with love, even if we stumble through the words. HOW we express ourselves says more, IMHO, than WHAT we say.
I trust my heart and gut. If I'm excited on the inside, or maybe a little nervous, because I have feelings for someone, chances are good they are experiencing similar vibrations. And if I can't be authentic in the beginning, then maybe the relationship is not meant to be.
