Hello! Bonus points to anyone who read the title in the voice of Dr Nick from The Simpsons!

So, I'm Rebecca, named for what I would have been named had I physically been born a girl. I've been cross-dressing very much in the closet for most of my life. As a young kid (pre-teen) I asked my mom about giving me her old sandals and hearing my brother laughing at me. So, that was the start of having to keep things quiet.

It wasn't till I was 18 that I started to explore more into cross-dressing. God I wish there had been sites or places to get advice or learn that what I was feeling was okay then.

I dressed with lingerie under my male clothing sometimes and fully dressed when I could. Working in a factory and having to wear layers helped that.

I ended up taking a sabbatical when I went into the active military, but before my enlistment was up I found myself shopping again... But being extremely discrete about it.

Once I got out, I returned to civilian life and started dating a woman. She did not react well to my cross-dressing and insisted I see a counselor. I tried it but it didn't take. (Obviously since I'm here.)

Nowadays I'm in the Reserves and also a police officer. So, much to my disappointment, shaving my legs isn't an option. (And I tell you that's the biggest thing I hate, cause I have darn nice gams. I just look like I'm a German girl.)

My fiance knows and supports my cross-dressing and is flat out amazing. Recently I dressed up to drive home from drill. It was dark so I didn't have to mess with make-up (I'm terrible at it- I definitely will be working on this), but it felt so good to take that step that I want to keep doing that. Since winter is fading I will need to work on my skills to make myself presentable / passable.

I'm so glad I stumbled onto this group and I thank you for having me.

Becky

Do you exercise much? Cycling is good exercise. Many male cyclists shave their legs.

Just saying 😉

Welcome to CDH. I'm sure you'll find a very warm welcome here and we even have a group specifically for wives and SOs if your fiancee is interested.

Have fun.

Hmmmm. I hadn't thought of the cycling angle. 😎 Only potential hiccup there is leg hair is how we are doing our random drug tests. Since I'm balding I keep my head buzzed down tight. But I like that idea!

Hi Becky, first I totally did read your title in the Dr. Nick voice. That's awesome:)

It's great that you have a supportive fiance, that makes a huge difference in how free you feel to be you. I suppose most of us won't be free to dress however we want in all situations, but safety with the ones we love is an awesome thing to have.

Glad to you have you here!

Eva

Welcome to CHD,

You just came in to the right place.

I'm not here for too long but i felt like home the moment i signed up and i'm enjoying this site so much and hope to know more friends like me.

I'm glad for the warm welcome i get from everyone here, people here are so amazing because all of us got the same feelings, interestes and inner believe about the woman deep inside us.

I'm from Cairo,Egypt.

I adore being a cross dresser so much than anything in the world, and so proud of who i am, but there's some issues in Egypt I can't handle with family, friends, Co-workers and every person in our society as they had traditions stick to it and the government has severe laws with so many restrictions on freedom than you ever expect.

Anyway that's who iam and that's the way i wanna live, till now i do it in secret and safe environment but i am actually dying to walk the streets in my jeans and blouses with my sports colorful shoes, make up and accessories on, Or enjoying the nightlife in my heels and adorable stockings underneath my sweet dress and a beautiful hand bag (it's kinda hard to proclaim my inner woman to public here in Egypt)

So, after i found this site and be part of this amazing family there's no need to hide my emotions or be lonely with my feelings no more.

All Ladies and Girls here are so energetic, full of positive energy, very supportive and more friendly than i ever expected.

Go now, explore our little home here, blend in and be part of the family.

Eventually all of us seek the same purpose through our lives and we're here to help each other and make it happen ( Together As One )

Your sister,

Shahy.

Hi Becky and welcome to cdh .    I liked your story, a lot of us can relate in one form or another to your experience . Like so many people have told me, people in general may not even pay any attention if you have shaved legs or not.

Hi Becky; welcome to CDH. It's really nice to meet you. In addition to cyclists shaving their legs, so do a lot of swimmers. Just another option for you - drug-testing not withstanding, of course. 🙂

Morning ladies!

I'm Margie and I've come back to a nice place. I was here before but had to leave due to a guilt trip times 10. I'd just recently lost my wife to cancer after 50yrs and 2 days of marriage and dating for 4 yrs. before that. It's been very difficult dressing, especially in some of her clothes that we loved to share, now that she's gone. I've now come to realize that she would want me to be happy, and I now am. I came out to her in 2004, a disaster, but we overcame the obstacles and became stronger than ever. We were girlfriends in the true sense. Now life must go on.

I started dressing in 5th grade, my mother was an Avon Rep which surely helped, loved playing "house", playing with cutout dolls and dolls in general. My mother would actually make beautiful outfits for them that could be interchanged. Added to this was I was a momma's boy. Dressing would stop after into high school until marriage. While married I began to sneak my wife's nightgowns and, ironically, I still have a favorite which she gave me to keep years ago. I've bee out twice with her fully dressed but mostly it was underdressed as much as I dared. We created a great family together, children & grandchildren, and everyone is well respected. We had great careers and did well, considering.

We experienced some amazing things and people together. She always knew my love and respect for all woman and especially my desire to be a woman in all aspects as much as I could. I always envied women and my wife hated that but she understood. I can still try to ... be that woman ... as much as I can.  I'm into my 70's, retired, now widowed  but I feel pretty, sexy and cool!

I'm back again and glad, hopefully I'll have next week to create some photos to share.

Hugs & kisses

Margie

Welcome back, Margie. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm glad to hear you seem to be getting to a better place mentally after dealing with your grief. Best wishes for love and happiness in your life going forward! *hug*
