There are more accepting people out there, or rather, in here! You won't find a more understanding or supportive community anywhere. There's no secret to why we do what we do, we like it.
Yes, there may be factors in each of our lives that influence our choice to wear nice things and to accept and express our feminine aspects but we wouldn't do this if we didn't like it.
Many of us say that crossdressing relaxes and de-stresses us, I have said, only half-jokingly, doctors should be able to prescribe crossdressing as an alternative to antidepressants or anti anxiety medicines!
I would like to explore this further with like-minded people
Then you've definitely come to the right place, we are a diverse bunch, from those who rarely get the opportunity to dress, through to full transition, and everything in between. This is a safe place to share with the like-minded people you mention so feel free to ask questions, lots of us will do our best to answer them.

I am a senior age crossdresser that has found similar support and pleasure here in Southeast Asia, having just retired here. I dress full-time in femme now everywhere in the city from pubs and restaurants to coffee shops, supermarket even doctors offices. Friendly accepting people that could care less how do you look or dress if it makes you happy how could it get better than that? This is Vietnam.

You're definitely among a whole host of like minded people here. I gave up trying to understand why I crossdress years ago. There are plenty of theories about what we do and why we do it, and no real right answers. The important thing is that we do it because we like the way it makes us feel, and that it released something deep inside us. It's part of who we are.
Attitudes in society are changing, slowly but surely, and acceptance is becoming more common. There's still a way to go, of course.
