Hi everyone.
I've been cross dressing for rather a long time now. Let's say I'm 60+ and first started age 8 or 9. I'm married and for some years my wife was quite accepting of my occasional dressingup but gradually more and more tensions crept into the marriage until I threw everything away and decided to stop. As well as the marital tensions, I'd reached an age where looking in the mirror wasn't the pleasant experience it once had been.
About three years ago, I started dressing again but this time in secret, taking advantage of my wife's occasional trips out of the country. I changed my look, took professional advice on hairstyle and makeup and now I'm fairly happy with the result.
Twenty years ago I was confident enough to go out on shopping trips in the West End of London. I was even stopped several times by other (real) women, asking me for directions. Why me? I have no idea!
Of course, having to speak was a problem and on more than one occasion led to my being "read". Thankfully the only results were slightly red faces but nothing more.
Now I'm once again feeling fairly confident in my looks and am practising my female voice whenever I can, using a smartphone app. I'd be very happy to hear from any other girls in my area.

hello Jenny, nice to meet you and glade you found happiness. i hear you on speaking like a female when approached by some one and had to talk. its hard to talk like a female unless you can do it right. i am a closet x dresser and could pass as one but rather not go out doors and shop just yet. wife knows of my x dressing and lets me dress up when 2 adult children are not home. she noticed i have more female stuff then she does. feel free to read my profile. nice to meet you and welcome to C.D.H
Hi Jenny
It sounds like you have been dressing as long as I have! Unfortunately I'm still very much in the closet and have yet to venture out, but one day? Welcome to CDH, I'm new here so still finding my way around, I'm sure you will enjoy it here.

Hi Jenny. Welcome.
Thank you for sharing your story. Women like you are my chief source of envy. 😁 And perhaps now my chief source of inspiration.
I love the fact that you took your age (you and I are about equal there. I am 62) determined not to let it get in the way, worked with it and now have found a "you" that you are happy with being. Please know that encourages me. Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Charlene aka Charrie
