Hi I joined yesterday and have already received some kind messages for which many thanks. Looking around there seem to be quite a few UK girls in similar situations but rather than bother people by leaving individual messages I thought I'd take the advice to introduce myself. So I'm in the closet which I don't particularly mind as I don't want to show in public and a couple of years ago I decided to pack my clothes away and purge. But I missed the lovely feeling of dressing to be different and my new year resolution was to go out and get myself some new clothes from the sales, including my first two skirts. By the time I was able to go there was not much left in larger sizes so the effect is a bit random but it's so good to be at least a bit girly again.
It's been good to join up with this lovely community and begin to see how other girls are coping, finding support and enjoying themselves. Hugs to you all. Julia

As a new sister and family member you are welcomed with open arms into our home as well as yours now also.. Well girlfriend with so much to see and do here from reading the forums and posts from so many ladies here telling there stories about there journeys down the femme road they are on.. When you get comfortable with us please join in with a story or two about the life and times of Julia as she travels down her own girly path in life.. Now as for making friends here there are so many ladies from all over the world to build long lasting friendships with and best of all we are just a simple click away from you .. Once again girlfriend nice to meet you and hope to see you around for a chat sometime soon..

Julia welcome to CDH. Many girls go through multiple purges only to regret it or end up buying whole new sets of outfits, shoes, wigs, makeup etc., which is really expensive, and some of the formerly loved items simply can’t be replaced. When we come to terms with our true natures and even embrace it, we usually become more confident, happier, less stressed people, and we don’t waste money buying and throwing (so better environmentalists too). But it’s important to get to this point and even beyond at your own pace.
I am sure you will enjoy this site, it’s full of fun, non-judgemental, helpful girls.

I bought WAY too many clothes in the Boxing Day sales when I went out shopping with my sister ... and then all those 'Don't miss out on our special clearance offers!' emails hit my inbox and I ended up buying even more. And all of that is only adding to the WAY too may clothes that I already have.
I live on my own, so my problem is becoming 'Where do I put it all?'
It's a nice problem to have, but I definitely need to start thinking of creative storage solutions at this point.

You’ve already spotted that there are now quite a lot of us UK girls here. I’m fairly close to you in Staffordshire.
I’m also in the closet in that my wife doesn’t know about this side of me, at least that’s what I keep telling myself.
I have been out a couple of times as Lucy, but not locally.
I haven’t had to do an actual purge yet, but I really need to reorganise and get rid of some stuff that I don’t wear as my closet is really beginning to bulge at the seams!

Hey Lucy, you seem like a very sensible UK girl (as am I 😏). May I ask, if you have so much stuff, how do you hide it all? I can only dress about once a year so I buy and then purge immediately after 😢.

@pleasancer Welcome to CdH from another UK girl living in the South West, mature secret crossdresser who has been crossdressing since my teens and purged many times but the urge and desire never goes away.Since retiring have wanted to dress in some form every day.
