Hello Olivia welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are. Having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or levels of closeted dressing or underdressing or public expression and or personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from differing levels of crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of self acceptance and expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or space were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are that you are not alone and this is a place where you can feel safe to express and share part of yourself as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, a man who dresses as a woman, if it makes you a better complete human being expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. For some it means remaining private for some telling a select few ultimately you have to do whats best for your own situation and you ultimately know best. I appreciate you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence in themselves. I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

This is a GREAT place to make friends, and you'll find many girls here who share your interests. You'll also discover VERY quickly that we love to chat. In fact, have you been in the chat room yet? Most days, it's definitely the busiest part of the site. You have to be pretty quick on the keyboard though ...

Honestly Olivia ... it's the best place going.
Before signing up last summer, I checked out several 'rival' sites. In most cases, I backed off again pretty hurriedly.
I thought I'd look at just one more before I gave up, and oh boy did I drop lucky 🙂
I've found a real home from home, I've made some great friends, and it's no exaggeration to say that the support and inspiration I've found here has changed my life.

@ellyd22 That is great to know Ellie. I've been on those rival sites and to put it mildly, they were challenging to stay connected to and I became very discouraged due to the lack of courtesy and understanding and respect I was hoping to find. I can already tell this site is different and at some point I will upgrade. Support means everything to me at this point, so I'm glad I found a home here.
We keep CDH as safe as we possibly can (there's a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes to make sure it stays that way).
We are first and foremost a support site for the CD/TG community; courtesy, understanding and respect are all things that you can expect to take for granted here 🙂

@lucyb112 thank you for the welcome message Lucy. Going through this journey it sure seems like so much of the time, I've been on my own. What I didn't realize is that there is a community like this one for support. Its very nice to know and keeps the sanity/anxiety meter at nominal, lol...thanks again and I look forward to getting to know those who are in the same situation as me.

For a long while I felt that I was very alone with this, but since joining here things have changed so much for me for the better. I hope that becomes the case for you too.
@lucyb112 I am very glad to hear that Lucy; I'm so glad this site and the support here has helped you. I'm hoping for the same; the struggles with depression and anxiety have been ongoing for so long that I simply got used to it, even though it is not a healthy way to live. I thought about going to counseling and that certainly is still an option, but I felt like right now this is the right place for me, and messages like yours are certainly confirmation that I made the right choice coming here.

Hi, Olivia, you're right, this is a great community. I, too, checked a few sites that came upon after a search for crossdressing online. I was shocked at what amounted to porn and hookup sites and was about to give up when I found this, aptly-named home from home.

I hear you on the discouragement trying other sites; I got weary with the rude insensitive comments and remarks and some of the comments really bothered me. I didn't feel safe or relaxed at all, but I do here. Its nice to be in a place where there aren't derisive remarks or mocking comments. Everyone here has been so kind and I'm very grateful.
