I have started and restarted this journey several times in my life, usually on my own. It is clear to me now that it is ingrained in me. I hope to find friends and maybe a mentor here. 😘
@dominiquecd the intensity of the urge comes and goes, but never disappears completely. I think it mainly fades when I willfully force it to.

Most of the CDs here we have experiment the same , we urge to crossdress , then a feel of guilty and later we purge all items we have bought, and the cycle start over again,
I admit my situation is not the best one, my wife doesn't support me by their religion, and I have to crossdressing me in private avoiding anyone can find me.
Also I cannot go out in public, it is no safe here , femicides and transgender murders rates are very high in the country I am now.
So CDH is a sanctuary for me , here I can feel and express with no problem my femme side.
I've learned makeup and still improve it with the help of all sisters here.

This is a safe and accepting place to share what you will among like-minded sisters. Many lives have been changed through joining and participating in the forums and chat. My male side denied and suppressed Allie for over 50 years, only coming to understand and accept that we can both share this life. I think synergy describes how I am now, the whole me being far greater than the sum of the (two) parts. My experience is by no means unique, from hiding Allie for years, I've just returned from attending Leeds First Friday with wonderful friends I've made here. This was Allie's first public outing and I loved it!
How much your life changes is your choice and you'll get nothing but help from the girls here.

@nikki2024 Happy to have you here Nikki! I'm sure you will find many with your experiences and feelings here. What you say resonates with me so much. After many stops and starts, I have finally accepted who I am and I keep getting further and further into my journey. There's no turning back for me now...I've wasted too much time compromising my femininity.
@nikki2024 Time will tell...it's a step by step process. I just took baby steps and considered how I felt along the way. Over time, I became more comfortable and did more and more things as my authentic self. Confidence in yourself is a big thing. I found if I pushed myself my confidence was lower. Over time though, I found that I was able to ease into the things I originally was pushing myself to do and they became my norms.

I don't think one side of me has to suppress the other one.
It is like you said, to look for a balance and I think I am getting this balance now.
Only one thing I feel will keep in the perfect point of balance it would be to talk with my wife and explain again about my crossdressing, and hope to she supporte me or at least make an arrangement what time I can and stablish boundaries.
@sandie9832t i have been more at peace since starting back up. It's been a bit of a slow start due to life circumstances, but has made a difference nonetheless.
