I joined CDH a few days ago and finally worked up the nerve to introduce myself to everyone here.
My name is Wendy, and I chose that name being nspired from a good friend and ex classmate. She would always wear stunning clothes, and I would always admire the way she wore them. Even a simple t-shirt and jeans she would wear it with class.
I've been CDing for over 40+ years. It started when I was a wee little one, a class outing to a local swimming pool. I didn't have any swimming trunks, so the pool had loaners but they had no more trunks so they gave me a girl's one piece, light baby blue. I didn't think much of it, and being small I didn't care that it was a girl's suit either.
As I got older, I progressed to my mom's panties, then her wardrobe. I eventually got too big for her clothes and I could afford to buy my own, which I did. I had alot of vintage clothing, like 90s aerboic wear, shapewear, swimsuits, ...
Years go by, and I would meet the woman I would eventually marry. At that point, I purged all of my clothes for fear of her finding out. I suppressed my CDing desires for the longest time, but it returned with a vengeance. I wound up buying clothes again, but I would hide them around the house. I didn't have the nerve or guts to tell her about Wendy.
Eventually, I got to the point where I did tell her. We sat down and I told her about Wendy, I was so scared that she would divorce me at that point. To my surprise, she said why don't you go get dressed so I could see what you look like ? I wore a white long sleeved blouse, black pencil skirt, and black blazer, and a cheap wig. I was not into make up at that point. She said I looked nice, like an airline stewardess. I could not believe that she was accepting. However, she had many questions, and I answered them as honestly as I could. The only thing she that was not happy about was that I kept CDing from her all this time, and I was not honest about it from the get go. Only cavaet is that I keep my dressing inside the house. Hey, I can live with that as I can now dress openly around her.
My CDing has evolved over the years. I now apply makeup (beard cover, concealer, foundation, eyeliner/shadow, contour, lip liner/stick), while not great at it, I am working on it and making good strides. Instead of underwear with foam pads, I've evolved to silicone hip/butt pads, and breastforms. Wendy's wardrobe has taken shape, and instead of cheap "costume" type wigs, I've purchased more realistic and higher quality wigs.
Despite all this, I still cling to my first exposure to women's clothing, which is women's one piece swimsuits. I have over 110+ one piece suits (mostly the racing/training style) in my collection, and it is continually growing.

Wendy thank you for your intro, I enjoyed reading it. I wished I would've opened up to my wife much earlier. Yes she at first was reluctant to accept Steffi but in time she did and only now I realize how many years I did lose. The fear of her reactions was my reasons for not telling and like you hiding it from her for all those years..

Welcome Wendy, Teralynn here. Welcome to our wonderful online community. Thanks for telling us your story. I am glad you told your wife and that she was accepting and understanding. I always advise young crossdressing people to that it is better to reveal their crossdressing in the early stages of a potentially serious relationship that way both parties can walk away if they don’t think things will work out. Getting the truth out there early solves so many problems. Apparently your wife only wants you dressing at home. For most crossdressing people with a significant other that is a reasonable limitation. Since for a lot of us it is the feeling we get when dressing that we enjoy so much, and you don’t really have to go anywhere special to get that feeling. I am also glad you decided to join CDH. Now you have the additional joy of being able to interact with an entire online community of wonderful crossdressing people. You might even recommend that your wife become a member in her own right since we have many members who are significant others of crossdressers. I n any case, I hope you enjoy your membership! I appreciate your story. I came out to my wife of 27 years around thanksgiving it has been 6 months. The most beautiful thing happened when she turn to her family for support 80 percent supported me too. I dress regularly in the house with her and I step out dressed no more changing in the car wash. Every day is a new day but so far this chapter is great. She tells me I look pretty as she takes my picture. I am working on the nerve to post them.
