Hi, I'm Ellie! I just joined today, and already I'm loving the feeling of belonging, which is something I've never really had. I'm still closeted, have spent most of my life suppressing who I am but am now trying to explore my real self. I'm transgender (looking for the right word - best fit seems to be transfeminine) but attracted to women. It's been a bit of a progression; if you're into labels, occasional crossdresser, more regular crossdresser, demi girl, transfeminine. An inexorable, but I have to say entirely welcome, drift towards feminity! I think of myself as 100% Ellie now. I dress full time at home, but have never done so in public. The thought of doing that thrills and terrifies me in equal measure! Maybe one day? I have never revealed my gender identity to anyone, except now on this site (but hey, that's a good first step, right?). I'm looking forward to friendly supportive chat about anything and everything, and finding out more about my new world and the possibilities it holds. But it's also wonderful to be somewhere where everyone will accept me as a girl without judgement. Seeking sisterhood and new friendships.

Hey Rozalyn. Thank you so much for replying. I've felt so, so welcomed today. It's lovely to hear from another UK girl. I used to work, briefly, in Telford! If you've read my profile you'll know that I'm still in the closet too. One of my hopes is, indeed, to connect with other girls in Norfolk - though I'm also nervous as hell about that and it would feel like an absolutely enormous step. It's probably something that I need to do though, no matter how frightening. And I totally feel like this is going to be a safe place for me as I come out to the world. You're welcome Ellie, the one thing that this site has shown me is that we are not alone there are lots of girls like us all over the world even some down the road from me I'm sure there are some just down the road from you who would love to meet up with you, baby steps one step at a time that's all you can do the first step was to come on this site which wasn't easy, I'm not sure where i am on the spectrum just now I'm just a crossdresser a man who loves wearing dresses, I'm not sure if i will ever transition it might be too late for me X
