Hi, new to the forum and as a cross dresser ...only been at it seriously since March of this year. Made a lot of mistakes buying stuff on line, but want to get to the point I feel comfortable buying "local". Still haven't gone outside /in public. as of yet, need to hone my dressing and make up skills before I make that decision. Wouldn't mind meeting someone who is experienced to help me make that big step. Don't know where this road will lead but I may want to commit to transition to more if I feel it's right and this step all goes well.
Erica welcome happy you have joined our family. Here you are no longer alone. Many of or ladies are here to help and support you in every way. From there heart felt advice to just being there to listen and comfort. Just starting as you did is a difficult and emotional time. Overwhelming yes and here you have help to get you the answers to many of these puzzling questions . Dressing for example,as you mentioned, I too learned about online shopping and now in little ways I'm out in drab mine you but starting to shop for myself. Still nerve racking as your always wondering who's watching. But as the confinance improves so is the attitude" like who cares" lol!!!! Hope the best to you and as you become comfortable with us I'm sure the relaxation will set in and you'll start enjoying your new paths ahead. Stephanie, thank you soooo much for your kind words...This is exactly why I joined which was in it's self a HUGE step. It is very scary for me right now, and with no family or spouse support (no one in my life right now) plus the fact I'm dealing with the fact I may also be "Bi" since I do find so many trans-persons photos to "hot"and coming to grasp I would not rule out a relationship with the right trans-person is extremely difficult. This may be a long and difficult journey but I'm on the road and we will see where it leads, again thanks for your support...

Hi Erica and welcome to CDH. That first step is a big one I remember it had to line up just right for me to get my courage up and be a safe place for me.
