It might interest you to know that although I THOUGHT that my mother knew all about my crossdressing (in my case from age 7), it turns out that she didn't have a clue. I only found this out a week and a half ago when I finally came out to her 🙂

I'm a mature crossdresser I've been dressing most of my life since i was about 8 or 9 years old when i tried my older sister's lingerie on, I'm still in the closet to my wife and family,

Thanks for your reply. Ive been wondering recently if its a conversation i should have with her. To be honest she must surely have known that secretly i was wearing her clothes...some just look worn instead of freshly ironed or washed!

Hello Helen welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are and even posted a photo. There are many great members all over the workd and you have so many in the UK. Having found us you have made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or level of public expression and or personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression from differing levels of crossdressing to those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of self acceptance and expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or space were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are that you are not alone and this is a place where you can feel safe to express and share part of yourself as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or a complete human being expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

Hi Helen So glad to have you here with us ,you are not boring me in fact your journey is a lot like mine I started at a very young boy the only difference was that I had two sisters close to my age and size and I used to raid their underwear drawer on a regular basis and try on their panties then later their garter belts and nylons.My wife also left me and at that time I really got back into crossdressing .Imagine my delight when I discovered that the internet had so much to offer to a hardcore CD like me.Since I am a very small person (5'2"and 140 lbs) and I take a women size 8 B width shoe I have no problem finding clothes that fit me and I was able to amass a sizeable collection of dresses skirts shoes and wigs.After a failed marriage and not a lot of luck dating women I decided that what I really wanted was a boyfriend .I took a number of online tests and found I was very high on the feminine scale and also a high probability of being gay not very surprising on either .I am the one who is boring you now .Luv Lynne

Hi Helen loved your story i am Zoe and are to very new to this site, unlike you my second wife who ive had now for 15 years is 100% behind me, we started out just playing around at home and found the wish site next thing you know i've got almost as much as her, we do venture out like the beach and well away from people and i will wear a bikini or a one piece, and she takes me shopping wear she likes me to try stuff on, get some weird looks but also some nice looks, anyway

Wow, what a lovely site this is, have spent a few hours browsing around and reading some pretty amazing stuff. I notice that there are so many like minded souls here with similar stories to each other.

I guess I should bore you some more to complete my bio....

So second marriage comes along and again its all kept secret, then, and I have no recollection how it suddenly came about, she's bought me underwear, skirt, blouse etc and I thought that this would be the moment that, in private at least, Helen would emerge. For a short while it was OK, I would underdress whilst we went out to pubs etc. but that's as far as it ever went, I wouldn't/couldn't venture outside dressed, my brain couldn't cope with that especially as I'm 6'2 and, well I used to play rugby, No.8, (think linebacker for those across the pond) and have the physique to match (plus a few pounds now). Then something (which I, not going to go into here) occurred in our private lives which meant I had to purge and somehow its never been brought back up and I'm the kind of person that's quite reserved in private but in my working environment I'm the exact opposite.

So I am now at a stage in life where externally I'm a happy go lucky soul but internally...well you know how that feels I'm sure!

What hasn't helped is looking after my mother in law who had moved in with us for a few years followed by 2 of our grandkids (15 & 18), because we have a large rural house with plenty of space and they have a small house 4 kids etc etc (and live a mile away). So we smile and carry on!!

Enough already, that's the precis of ages 8 to 62 for me.  There have been some interesting moments, scary ones and some utterly delightful ones. I'm sure they will come out to be told one day.
