Hello everyone. I'm new here and I'm kind of exploring who I am. I've been cross-dresser for years. I'm very happily married (for a long time - I'm in my early 60's) and came out to my wife years ago. She totally accepts this is part of who I am. Up until now everything has been 'behind closed doors' and my wife wants it to stay that way. I'd like to at least talk to other people who have experienced the way I feel. I've always said that I don't feel like 'a woman trapped in a man's body'  but that the way I'd put it is that if I had been given the choice of being born male or female I would have chosen to be born female.

I'm not very good at cross-dressing. I know I look like a man in a dress and I've only recently bought my first wig. I've never tried makeup, though I'd like to. I'd also like to buy breast forms but I haven't had the courage to raise that one. I'm aware, I think, that the clock is ticking but my marriage is the best thing in my life and I don't want to put stress on it.

So - complicated and exploring and wondering where this goes. Hi everyone.

Nicole

Nicole    welcome  , very nice having you with us. Many of us feel the same way what if being born female . Looking at both genders and figuring which one is Suited to you and  deciding which one is  fitting to who you are. Being feminine with such feelings is the most important not worrying how you look as you say a man in a dress it what's important is how you really feel inside and  yes marriage very important, to me also I cherish not wanting to hurt her in any way. At least here you'll be with wonderful gals all here to support you in everyway .again welcome 🌹

Hi Nicole,

Exploring your inner woman is so much fun.  I wish you all the best on your journey.  One of your benefits is an understanding spouse.  That helps immensely.

Hugs,

Sally

Hi Nicole, Welcome, I'm in my mid 60's. I only dressed on my days off work (we had different days off so I was home alone and took advantage of Jamie time). Wife knew I dressed but never saw me in any thing but panties. After we both retired I had a choice to make show her Jamie or stop dressing. The compulsion to dress was so great, I feel so relaxed en-fem that I need dress occasionally so I asked her if she wanted to see me dressed. She agreed so I dressed one night and showed her my feminine side. I dress every night and always sleep in a nightie.

Good luck on your journey.

Jamie

Hi Nicole and welcome to CDH. Haven't we all been there, hesitating to take the next alluring step on our journeys. May it be step into a skirt, step out the door, step up the dosage during HRT or taking that final irreversible step into womanhood. Yet every step is important and should be taken with great care and concideration. But we are humans and as such we have little patience and often tend to hurry into things.

I guess what I'm trying to say is follow your heart and explore your inner woman, but be patient and make sure each step is OK for both of you now that you have her at your side.

As for breast forms, you can start experimenting with bags of rice or birdseed to find an appropriate size.
