Hi, my unbelievably supportive wife is a member here and recommended the site to me as a source of information, learning, and community. And probably so I don't feel so alone in all of this.
I've crossdressed my whole life... sporadically. I told my wife about it 20 years ago, before we married, and we have played as a couple with me dressed. Then life got in the way, and through my poor health (physical and emotional) I stopped dressing. After a significant health scare in April, I decided I can no longer not do this. I don't want to live with the regret of not being authentic to myself.
So, not so long ago, I plucked up the courage to talk about this to her and she has been ultra-supportive and encouraging. I have identified as straight male my whole life, and don't want to go further than dressing, but I now recognize that I am a crossdresser/transvestite that is not bi, per se, but I am very attracted to the feminized body so I am possibly situationally bendy. (I've not tested that though...but I'd like to.) I have been gradually becoming this Toni person and have begun shaving, collecting a wardrobe, and exploring my needs. I invite my wife to ask questions and have been as honest as possible with my answers. But, some answers I don't yet know because I'm still working this all out. Besides, I still don't know the questions to ask myself yet. To wit, I 'm here to find information, support, community, and to be visible to my wife as authentic me.
I chose Toni as a name here, although I'm still hugely uncomfortable with it, because I have an Amazon shopping list for feminine things under that name.

Your in the right place to help you get the right answers. Although our journeys are similar the explanations of why and how we are the way we are aren't so simple. I wish it were.

@ek01 Hey Toni, welcome to CDH. This is really a great site, the girls here are fun, helpful and supportive and indeed encouraging each other to become and be who they really are. But you probably know this from your wife who you say is already a member. I think it is amazing that you have such a supportive wife and you must thank her and show your appreciation every day….I too have a supportive wife and I do just that. She allows me to be who I really am and as a result she has a calm, very happy, relaxed partner who has become a girl friend above and beyond a loving partner and husband. I love being a cross dresser and I love that my wife lets me express myself as such….I hope you and your wife find such happiness, individually and together. Hugs Christine
