My name is Ken Dixon, and I live in Deltona, Florida USA.
I've crossdressed since age six, except for the brief periods when I tried to stop. About ten years ago, I began thinking seriously about living as a woman. I began a medically-supervised hormone regimen to relieve the gender dysphoria and found some ways to test the water by taking a series of volunteer office jobs in female mode. That worked out much better than I could have expected, as I was totally accepted and formed some very strong friendships with women that continue to this day.
I had to stop the hormones when I developed both bilateral pulmonary embolism and a DVT blood clot. But that didn't dampen my desire to change my gender presentation for good. I'm a much happier person when I'm not trying to act male. And I can't keep going back and forth.
Good for you!!! My story is very similar but I’m a few years younger lol. I’m accepting myself now at age 28 and am beginning to come out to family and friends about being a trans woman and transitioning. Completely. I wasn’t sure I wanted GCS surgery or anything, but the more I think about it, the more I think I’m going to eventually have it done. It would relieve my dysphoria so much! Do what makes you happy and ignore the critics! If they can’t open their hearts and minds to a person helping their life be happier, their loss!
I published a book on Amazon about six years ago, based partly upon a blog I maintained as I was first making my way out into the world presenting as a woman. I fleshed out that material with a lot of stuff from my early life. Writing it turned out to be a real emotional catharsis.
The feedback I've received tells me that I affected the lives of many people in a positive way. "I'm Not The Man I Used To Be" has continued to sell - mostly in the US and the UK but also in several other countries. I used the name "Kenna Henderson" as the author.
I'm mentioning this only to say that if anyone here wants a copy, I'll be glad to send the book for free as a .doc or .pdf file to an email address of your choosing.
Welcome Ken,
I am also from Florida, Fort Lauderdale.
I've been playing around with FaceApp on my phone. It's created some pretty interesting looks for me.
Which of the six on the attached composite do you think is best?
Hi Ken, I looked at the six versions: for me that's definitely 4 and 6.
Love,
Caty
Caty...
I agree! I loved #4, but I really like #6. I'm using that one as an avatar from now on. I also added it at the end of my book manuscript and submitted the revised version to Amazon. I've never had a picture of myself in the book, and at least one of the reviewers found that disappointing.

Welcome Ken! I'm in Florida but on the West coast - Sarasota. I'm a transplant from the North and glad to be here. I'm sure this site will be helpful to you. Glad your health is back on track.

Hugs,
Mary Summers
