Hi, I go by Karen. I have been dressing in women's clothe's since I was 10. So it's more than a "fad" for me. I am a closet dresser and still haven't told my wife of 28 years. However about 18 years ago my wife dressed me up for the night in the whole thing. The dress I had on was so pretty I didn't want to take it off. I had everything on silk panties, thigh high nylons a amazing push up bra and of course the makeup. I was in heaven. But the next day, (sad news for me) I was told that this would never happen ever again. She said I could dress ONLY if she wasn't home. I started to cry, that hurt so bad because I thought I could finally come out of the closet. I am a CD nothing more, but she has this thought that I want to be a girl and date men. That is not true, I told her, I also said I have been dressing for years and NEVER wanted to be gay. I have a closet full of dresses and heels and I have a dresser drawer full of bras panties and nylons. My wife even asked me one day if I had any black pantyhose. Of course I do I told her, she was shocked at how high quality they where, and asked what brand they where. So that's my story about my struggle being a CD in a house that won't let me be me. It sux big time.
Hugs Karen
Hey Karen, my wife said showing up to an old friend's gathering in a skirt and tights was the final straw for her and we are now separated. You'd probably fair better getting caught smoking crack than dressing in women's clothing. Lol you are not alone not here, not ever, welcome. Hugs - Terrisa
Hi Karen,
So happy to have you here on CDH! Your story is so familiar to me now as I have listened to and talked to so many lovely ladies here. Just know that you are no longer alone, for that has been the greatest thing I have learned here. The love and support I have received here has changed my life, and I hope it does the same for you. Hugs and kisses.
Luv, Khryssie
Karen welcome. Here you are among many who understand and care for you and your passion to dress. To have support from your S.O. is a blessing but when its not its truly not. Difficulty in dressing with no encouragement is emotional hard and it becomes troublesome in everyday life . Being here you do have help and heart warming advice to make you comfortable with who you are. Very happy meeting you and looking forward to seeing you here. 🌹
Hi Karen.....girl, I feel bad for you. Real females are very complicated and have a lot of pre-conditioned fears about cross dressing. A huge one is that you will go 100% transgender and they don't want to face that. What to do......take it easy and slow and read a few books about CD and Trans people. They can provide a lot of assistance. Talk to our sisters, they can help too. Give me a shout if you wish to talk. Good luck dear......

Thanks for your support, you are right, it would easier to tell her that. So true.

Hi Karen,
Welcome to CDH. Surely your wife knows that your a CD.
Yes she does, but she doesn't want to hear me tell her or see me dressed. But yes yu are right she knows. I guess as long as I don't mention it she can block it out.
I will do that, thank you for you comments.
