I've been out as transgender for about 2 years but haven't made much progress because my wife is against it. We don't have the resources to seperate or divorce so I have to make the best of things. I enjoy wearing skirts and dresses and I have been out in public with no problem. Even had my nails done once with my oldest daughter and the one doing our nails thought I was her mother, so I guess that's good. In my mind I am female and I don't want to change that. I may not look female since I have to dress male when my wife is home but that doesn't deny how I really feel. I live in a fairly small village in the Sacrament mountians in New Mexico and the village is very Christian so I have to be careful how I appear there. All I can do is hope things will change at some point in the future.
Amber welcome, your part of a family that supports and cares for all. Sorry that your wife isn't supportive, that's difficult and very hard in a relationship. Happy you have your daughter and now you have many here . Talk to and receive acceptance for who you are . In time things do change and I hope for you it shows a promise and a better look ahead. In mine and soul enjoy who you are and now be with a community that cares . Best to you and your journeys forward. 🌹
