@samanthanova welcome Samantha.  I’ve loved in DFW for a number of years but I’m in FL now.  But I’ve got to let you know that when I joined here, I was so scared, I was afraid to talk to anyone.  After a while I became comfortable, and when girls here told me I’d make some really good friends, I didn’t believe it, but it’s so true.  I’m sure you’ll find the same thing happening to you, but take steps as you are comfortable and have fun, you’ll love it here.

• Been out as a woman:

  Ive been out and about with panties and panty hose under my clothes.

• First outfit in public:

  just panties and leggings so far but I want to eventually be able to go out fully dressed.

It is encouraging to see a young crossdresser with the ultimate goal of going abroad dressed en femme. This may take a bit of time getting to the point where you are confident and skilled enough to successfully pull that off, so what can you do in the meantime?

Find women's clothing that you can wear in public now, build up your closet so that you can have a choice of clothes to wear in any season. That way you have a good wardrobe for when you are ready for your Samantha debut.

@samanthanova Hey Samantha, if i remember rightly, my first intro post four months ago was the same 'new and nervous'  I am sure within a few weeks those nerves will go.  CDH is such a wonderful supportive network of people, who soon become friends.  Your wifes suggestion sounds wonderful, and will give you some time to be you and I hope this has a positive impact on you.  

I am the wife of a CD and we are fairly new to this all, he was dressing in private only until a few months back, and honestly now he is able to be free to do this without the secrecy, has had a wonderful impact on our lives, he seems happier, more confident and in turn i am too.

@samanthanova You came to the right place Samantha.  Many of the girls here experienced the same feelings as you at some time or another.   In a lot of cases, they have managed to overcome them and connect strongly with their feminine selves.   It took me many years to do this but now my femininity is deeply ingrained in me and I present myself to the world as Lauren.   This has become so satisfying for me.   Good luck sister and I hope you find what you are looking for here!

I'm in Norfolk in the UK. I totally get the whole nervousness thing (it took me ages to get the courage to sign up to the site) but honestly it won't take long for you to feel comfortable here. It's the most incredibly friendly and welcoming place.
