You've just joined a very warm and supportive community; it's good to have you here!
I see that Allie's already directed you to our Friend Finder. That's a great place to start if you're trying to make connections with members in your area.
As you look around you'll see that almost everyone on this site adopts a female name (in my case though, since I'm trans, Ellie is what I always call myself!). Doing that makes it far easier to interact with one another. I don't know if that's something that you'd like to do (and it's by no means compulsory), but if it is I can either:
a) send you instructions so that you know how to change your name yourself or;
b) I could simply change it for you if you tell me what you want it to be.
Also, once people get to know you they may want to add you as a Friend. As they consider that they're likely to check out your Profile page, so it's a good idea to make it as full as you possibly can.
Anyway, having said all that ... there's lots to explore here on CDH. Have fun looking around, and if you need help with anything, just ask.

Hi Shawna, Welcome to CDH. I used to own a place (that we would rent) near the intersection of Fruitville and Beneva, but just couldn't get down there as often as we liked to make better use of it. I did actually meet in person another transgendered resident there (from a previous website where I was a member), only tg I've actually met. We shared a lot of our stories walking around Island Park. A litle scary at the time, but also very enjoyable moments. Glad you're here.
