Hi everyone, I'm Isabel. I'm new to CDH and to opening up to people in general.
I'm a 21 year old crossdresser, living alone in Bangor (Northern Ireland, UK).
Though I have been crossdressing for roughly 2-3 years now, I still feel quite new to it all. To be fair the whole LGBT+ (and any other letters I may have missed) is a fairly new concept.
I grew up in a very rural area, with practically no public transport, and being unable to drive I didn't get out much. Therefore, I had (what some would consider) a very sheltered childhood. It wasn't until, I moved away from home at 18 that I started to really experiment in crossdressing.
On my first day in Belfast (where I moved to after leaving home) coincided with the Pride parade, and I will honestly admit, it wasn't until I heard the news on my way home again that I realised what it was about.
Since then, I've gone from trying on my mum's old clothes when she was away, to a having a copule of simple outfits of my own.
My biggest issue at the moment is, I have no friends and I feel I can't talk about this part of myself to my family, due to their strong Christian ethos and general disapproval of LGBT in general.
That's how I came across CDH, trying to find people in similar situations. I'd really like to get to know some people in NI who in time would be willing to meet up on occasion (I'm thinking shopping day!!!)
So that's me, well part of me. I think of my personality as a sort of polymorphic engine, a combination of a range of different elements that are all interconnected in some way, but I don't know the code to unlock it.
Hope to hear from you soon and maybe learn some tips and tricks

Hi Is and welcome! It’s nice to have you here but wow do you have a journey ahead! Of course most of us started trying on mom’s clothes, been there done that you’ll then go through trying to figure out how you fit in. That you’ll have to decide on your own, attracted to men, women when dressed, any other combinations. Sandy’s advice skip most of this not knowing buy yourself an outfit, start with a dress, skirt or whatever you prefer then build from the inside out. For instance, pantyhose or garters and stockings, foundation garments, panties with matching bra, perfume, accessories all this make up the women in us. Skip to the end, buy it all dress as best you can go out being your femme self, don’t worry about what people may think! Do it while you’re young my friend! Don’t forget wear something pretty today! Sandy.
Hello Isabel:
I'd like to open with the fact that I can not read your introduction without adding an Irish baroque to it. I tried. Just couldn't do it.
But don't worry it was a feminine one.
I hope you make many friends here. There are many wonderful people to meet.
Welcome Isabel!
