The best thing to do Kaite, is talk to an experienced gender therapist, who can help you sort everything out and determine where you are at.

Generally speaking I think the difference between the two is CD is what you do, TG is who you are.  Many people crossdress for a variety of reasons as a form of expression, relaxation, being in touch with their softer feminine side while their gender identity remains intact.  Think of it in terms of a hobby.  For a TG person it is more about who you are and the reasons are different.  It is like being born with a birth defect, in our case a defective endocrine system, and living a life defined by that defect and being forced into a set of cultural expectations centered around it.  In this case it is gender dysphoria and everyone is different in how intense it is and what they need to do to manage it, and how greatly it impact their personal happiness and life.  You will find all kinds of information, definitions and opinions online, so again the best thing to do is to seek out and see an experienced gender therapist to help you navigate things.

Hi Kaite    much can be said but at least here there's never an issue. Like Tami has said, ( and I must say beautifully written) pretty much says it. Tami said it well hope she answered you question. for me i am a closet cross dresser and love to express my fem side when i can, wife lets me but will not sit in same room and talk about how i feel dressed up. not even show me how to apply foundation or cover up or eye shadow better, she does tell me i put on too much perfume when i dress up. welcome aboard to this lovely site and we all under stand and very friendly girls here
