I'm in Scotland so I don't know what places there are near you but I'm sure some of our more local members might do.

Lots of us remain in the closet, Alison but this community is somewhere safe to be yourself. And, you won't find a friendlier, more understanding and supportive bunch of girls anywhere else.

Take some time to read through the forums and profiles and you'll see what life is like here (amazing!). When you're ready, just join in, we love to hear from new members 😊.

@alij Hey Alison, welcome to CDH, as Allie said, this is a great community here.  The girls are fun, encouraging and informative….so help and advice and suggestions are freely given.  I am based in Brussels, so unfortunately I cannot help with your specific question on dressing safely in Bournemouth, but I am sure there are other UK based girls who can help.

Welcome to CDH 🙂

It might be a bit far for you, but a few of us are organising a meet up for CDH members at the Leeds First Friday event on 1st August 2025. One of the aims of that is to provide a very safe and welcoming environment for girls to get out and about for the first time, with 'Big Sisters' on hand for support. Initial signs are that we're going to have a very good turnout 🙂

I’d love to find somewhere I could dress without the fear of being caught, but unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anywhere near to me, unless someone knows of a place?

When you read the crossdressing stories here, you will soon realise that there aren't really a lot of styles that you won't be able to do, if you are careful.

The more flamboyant that you dress, the more attention you will receive. Figure out some sort of a plan and set attainable goals. You can do this and you can go out in public. Experiment and learn what works for you.

Hi Alison, welcome to CDH from someone a bit closer to you. I am in the Cotswolds and several of my holidays in recent years have been in the Poole / Sandbanks / Bournemouth area.

As others have said, CDH is a great place to be. Take your time to settle in, look around and discover the warmth, support and fun of being part of this family of like minded folk.  Feel free to add a bit more to your profile whenever you like so we can get to know you better.

As far as 'safe from discovery' places are concerned I'm afraid I can't help in the Bournemouth area. I took such steps by using the opportunities I had when travelling far from home on business trips. In the last couple of years, since I came out to my wife, I have been able to go en-femme with her to most places. I generally started by keeping to clothes that were not overtly feminine; ladies trousers, simple blouses or tops etc., after which I gradually moved to more obviously feminine attire. You will soon find that people really are very accepting and if you dress in a way that blends in you will rapidly build up your own confidence.

@alij thats the question. Ive been struggling with finding cd accepting places myself. Make sure you do plenty of research because just googling often just results in sex or bdsm clubs. In the netherlands I recently contacted COC, thats a LGBTQ+ organization in the Netherlands who pointed my towards a monthly cafe gettogether for cd and trans girls. Maby there is a similar organization in the UK? If you ever come to the netherlands hit me up. Ill take you to the cafe.
